Hi arem!
I’m an administrator for the Crystal Desert forums (http://crystal-desert.com/). I spend a bit of time trying to keep up with the guilds on the server for a few reasons, one of which is to chime in with recommendations. Here are a few guilds that might fit what you’re looking for.
Veteran’s of the Mists [redt]
Guild Leaders: blueblog.1726 and Herd.2764
Website: http://www.reddit.com/r/redditgw2/
Everytime I come across a [redt] player in game, it is always a positive experience. They’ve got hustle and heart, and are PvX with a PvE focus.
EDIT: Looks like [redt] is alliancing/merging with [KA] to keep an active roster. Either way, the guild leaders listed here should be able to explain all that if you chat with them.We Came To Dance [WCTD]
Guild Leaders: Air.6452 and Mattrimcauth
Very active in game and very upbeat crew. After all, it’s a group of Dancers! Also PvX, focused in WvW.Chillin Like a Villian [CLAV]
Guild Leaders: Juz Chillin and Tanya Aotearoa
Website: http://chillinlikeavillain.enjin.com/
Large guild that covers most all timezones. The leadership supports their guild members in a way that is rare to come by. A true PvX guild. So far as meeting up with other CDers, 6 or 7 of us from [SoH] are headed for PAX East in April. It’s a bit of a trek from Portland, but if you have tickets already, that would be a great meetup spot.
Hi Nikked! I saw my own character in one of the guild photos on the website’s homepage, so that was fun! Thank you very much for a few of your recommendations. I’ll take each of them into consideration and have a conversation with the ones that catch my interest.
Hi GW2 community. For a short while, I’ve been with a small guild that would regularly meet a couple nights a week for bounties, fractals, X dungeon/path, etc. Good group of people that happened to all know each other in the town where I grew up. All fine and good, even though I’m hundreds of miles away in Portland now. Guild leader was helpful and no one was harsh or judgmental if mistakes were made. Refreshing and lovely as it has been…lately, things have gone quiet and not many people are logging in recently.
Sad as that is, I’d still like to more frequently do some group events without diving into the PUG pool (which is NOT a kiddie pool full of dogs, that’s a pugnacious pug pool, jeez). Hoping there’s a guild out there that would fit and have me along with my ranger, mes, and guardian. Shredder-lookin’ ranger will always be my favorite. It would simply be a bonus if members were also close geographically for meet-ups to talk Guild Wars. See you at the Frostgorge Sound champion chain pain train™ sometime perhaps and take care.
Thanks for your time!
Hey there GW2 community. There have been a few times where I’d been carrying around a second set of gear to swap into if the situation demanded a different setup in order for myself or the group I’m with to be able to proceed. Usually this second set of gear is meant to increase survivability stats and become a bit more tanky if we’re getting hit hard and having some trouble. I’ve seen in another notable MMO a separate window and inventory just for selecting sets of specific gear on the fly. Thought it would be beneficial if GW2 had a similar feature as well and it would free up more valuable loot space in inventory bags.
One other thing that had been on my mind was the space required for WvW items such as blueprints for siege weapons. Personal opinion, I would appreciate an additional section in the personal bank below the crafting items deposit area for most WvW consumables that could be put away until needed – freeing up bank and inventory space for PvE, etc. related material. If there is already something to address these items in place, I will profusely apologize and promptly triple-facepalm with help from my roommate.
Thanks for your time and consideration!
