Guild Wars 2

I don’t understand how you can say if someone has your account information. My account was hack yesterday (Im using my husbands right now) and the email address, yes I use elsewhere but my GW password is unique to it, the only other place this hacker could have gotten it is from GW1. ?! Just wondering how that may have happened….

Im submitting this under my husbands account because as of sometime today, my log in email has been apparently changed? I tried to log in this evening, did not work because my email address wasn’t a valid one. I checked my email and had a nice one from ArenaNet stating this:
“Someone -hopefully you!- has requested to change the email address associated with your Guild Wars account.”
WHAT?! No I did not submit a change in address. So, now I’m stuck….I love how they said- “hopefully you!”
Not sure what to do at this point, guess I wait for a reply to my ticket and hope I’m not now banned for life and could possibly have my character back….
