I think they should take a page from ArcheAge’s book and make crafted armor the best in the game. It helps the economy a lot.

Account wide dyes. We were right?

I remember in beta. It was claimed before prepurchase that dyes would be account wide. During beta and after prepurchase arena net hired a former employee of Nexon that worked in maple story ‘Kristin Cox’ I believe her name was. After that point dyes we’re change to be character wide unlocks with the possibility of duplicates. The community was pretty upset. And we (myself included) flooded the forums to voice our complaints. We were told that account wide dyes would not happen (despite telling us it would and prompting us to buy the game under that false assumption.) we were told character wide unlocks was the best thing for player progression. Several people (3 if I remember right) were banned by moderators for ‘showing disrespect’ in a truly immature display of ‘moderation’. The whole thing was bullcrap. But oh well. I moved on. Didn’t buy a single dye pack though. Kept my promise there.

Years go by.
No expansion.
Get bored of the same weapons and same skills for 2 years.

So…… You went and reversed your decision to make dyes character wide??? Well what do you know. I can only imagine why you did this. Maybe the big head from being the top selling game on Amazon deflated and you learned that listening to your customers was probably a good idea? (Same reason for you making an expansion pack too?)

So please enlighten me arenanet? You were wrong and we were right? Or are you intentionally damaging character progression for the sake of holding on to your leaking player base. I’d really love to know.

At least an admission that is was a sorry excuse for a cash grab would suffice.

Oh and before banning me or deleting my post for criticism, just remember that no good company needs to silence expression of free speach.

Hey guys. I’m back to gw2. I am coming back after getting into archeage. I loved that game except trion went and killed it with their stupidity. Been playing gw2 again for a couple days now. One thing I miss about archeage was the fact that making money was simple easy and just required time investment. I NEVER went into crafting in that game and found that I lost money by crafting an item. Ever. And that’s how it should be. Raw materials shouldn’t be worth more.

So enough of that little mini rant. I remember despite the good things about gw2 it was yet another game where people are punished for crafting by a loss in money. Did they do anything to fix this? Is there any way to make money that doesn’t involve brain numbing grinding or some hidden trick that the developers overlooked? Help would be much appreciated.

Good players don’t want to grind on something so ridiculously difficult. If the dungeons are gonna be that hard then they should not be 45 runs for a set of armor. Grind and difficulty dont go hand in hand…. and hey! what the heck happened to the mmo manifesto?

CoF Scholar Magg stops for no reason

This dungeon has become next to impossible. Scholar Magg stops for almost no reason at all and mobs just keep spawning. it’s just ridiculous. Me and my friends allstopped dungeons all together. Arenanet. dungeons can be.

1. A grind
2. Ridiculously hard

I agree. This is ridiculous. I’ve stopped dungeons altogether till this is fixed.

Scholar Maggs not revivable CoF Explorable.

Well. Turns out thanks to today’s nerf Scholar Maggs can take damage from the fire in the 2nd part of the dungeon. Anet, I’m really wishing I was surprised at this oversight but seeing how you handled launch, sadly I’m not. If Scholar Maggs dies in the fire and everyone drops the extinguisher he is unrevivable and the entire instance broken. So you have created a new sort of bug, just cause you did not design the dungeon correctly the first time? How is this fair to your customers? Please make extinguishers not dissapear when dropping them or something. I do not mean any disrespect. However I have to question why you are trying to make dungeons a grind when you say in your own manifesto “Nobody likes grinding, nobody thinks it’s fun!” I mean… I know the blog articles (dyes, death penalty, etc) meant nothing but now the manifesto was a marking ploy too? Come on now. You’re better than this… -_-

How do Guardians heal other than using Tome of Courage? By using the staff?

I currently roll a healing guardian. It is great for support. but know that you wont be able to fully sustain an entire party like in other mmos and you need to be helping with damage as well as healing. Heres what you need.

Weapons – Staff/Hammer
Traits –
Virtues 5
Honor 30: Protective reviver, Writ of Persistance, Writ of the merciful
Valor 30: Strength of the Fallen, Altruistic Healing, Strenght in Numbers.
Zeal 5

UT Skills.
Healing Breeze
Hold the line
Bow of Truth(or merciful intervention)
Sanctuary

Elite Skill
Tome of Courage

How to play it.
Keep your bow up as much as possible to keep conditions off your allies. Try to time Hold the Line so that your team doesnt dip below 50%. While they are above 50% be in there doing damage with your hammer. As you know ALL your symbols heal and give regen, so when you use your 1 attack with the hammer it also heals all the melee fighters in there with you. if things get intense, dodge back, use orb of light to heal, then skill 4, then put down symbol of swiftness, and dodge back in. If you need to give a quick heal and all skills are on CD, dodging heals your team. So try to dodge in and not just walk in when you switch to hammer.whenever an ally is downed YOU revive them as wit will give both of you an aegis and regen. CoF isn’t working on tarnished coast server or any server really. Just not gonna play until this is fixed. Dungeon armor is a grind and when you put something grindy in a game at least make sure it works.

I have this bug too. Only on my 71 guardian though. The skill is still locked. Kinda lousy to accept money from people when a bug keeps them from getting their product. But hey, what part of the game ISN’T broken right now? (parties guilds dungeons skill points.)

CoF CM AC and TA story are ALL down. we have tried every way imaginable to get into the dungeons and wasted a lot of time. This bug is months old. Can we get it fixed soon please? Was under the impression that the game wouldn’t launch till it was ready.
