Will arenanet remove the e-mail/login requirement on the new recovery page so that those who have had their accounts hacked will actually be able to recover them without waiting in the 3-10 day queue for support? This seems a simple fix to a huge problem.

How long did they take and when did you receive a response? Just so we can get an ETA on other hacked accounts thanks

The new account recovery page is very useful for people who have forgotten their passwords. Unfortunately, due to only single-factor security, as soon as your account is compromised, an attacker need only change your e-mail to take full control of your account which is why we have so many hacked account requests in the support system.

Can’t the account recovery page be changed to remove the need for an input e-mail? Or allow us to use our account name (blahblah.number) along with our CDKEY and character names? This simple change to the page would allow all those who have had their accounts compromised to recover them without needing to wait 7+ days for various support tickets.

I can’t imagine this change isn’t more efficient than wading through the 8000+ compromised accounts each time someone sends in a ticket.
