Guild Wars 2

I thought I was starting off well. Went 8-0 and then took a quick bite for dinner. Came back and went 1-16. I now have a 15 match losing streak. I’ll prob wait a couple of days.. All of my losses were blow outs. None of them came came close within 50-150 points.

I’ve been playing GW2 for a little over a month now with 2 different classes in which I really enjoy (necro & guard). I find that GW2 has satisfied my craving for an MMO like EQ/EQ2 (huge fan/player of the series) — but I know both are quite the opposite in a lot of aspects of the game. Long story short, I like GW2.

Until I started PvPing. Man. There are a lot of angry people out there. A simple kill will turn into an insult. A 2v1 situation where you think you’re helping a teammate, turns into a ‘wtf’ moment. Or, my favorite, the kitteny player on the opposite end who tries to talk trash all throughout the match, and personally /whispers you his version of trash talking only to lose the entire match because, apparently, their way of winning is trying to mentally break you down, while I simply reply “scoreboard. gg”.

My question is, why are there so many angry players? Are there regular, normal players who play a game and just enjoys it for what it is? I’m not the perfect gamer or PvP’er. In fact, my stats as of this moment in PvP:

Games Played: 135 (all unranked since I came onto this after S1)
Games Won: 77
Top Stats Awarded: 598

Again, I’m not perfect. I don’t claim to be a bette player than anyone. I play a game to enjoy it. If I lose, I lose, gg. If I’m with a bunch of noobs, sure, why not… if we win, great! /shout GG! If we lose, oh well. Try harder next time, right?… Right?

Apparently not.

Not gonna let these kids (I’m ashamed that some might even be ADULTS) try and ruin the game for anyone. The block feature is my favorite skill used since joining what I believe is the most fun I’ve had in GW2: PvP.

About YUND and its leaders:

YUND is a new guild with less than 20 (at the time of this post) members with 3 brothers who hold leadership at the top of the guild. We decided to start recruiting for the purpose of getting the most out of our gaming experience. Especially since we’ve reached level 80 in less than a month of playing and have been exploring this end game stuff on our own. We may be new to GW2, but we are not noobs to mmos. We have over 15 years of MMO experience dating back to the original Everquest back in 1999!

Goals:

Guild missions, fractals, pve, wvw, helping each other out, and having fun. Raids are in the plans for the future, but we would like to establish ourselves in these tiny aspects of the game first.

What to expect:

The guild, like I’ve stated, is brand new. There has been no guild missions started, no hall, no commendation, nada. You’ll feel like you’re without a home… But a guild chat lol. But hey, that’s where your help is needed! Most of the players are from NA and play in the PST time zone. Friday’s-Saturdays is when most of us are on later into the night ignoring this thing called, sleep.

A new player? An experienced vet? A returning player? It doesn’t matter. Want to start off from scratch in a guild where you know your help really did make a difference? Do you like the feeling of being a part of a startup where things can get ugly because we’re still all learning, but when we succeed, the feeling is awesome? YUND can be your home.

We are based in Northern Shiverpeaks, NA, a good handful of players from California so PST time zone.

We are a small guild with a startup feel. Completely bare bones guild:

0% guild missions
Tier 1 fractals
WvW has not been touched as a guild.

My goal is to recruit players who are willing to help grow within the guild from scratch. We may be new GW2 players, but we know mmo games. I’ve personally have 15+ years of mmo experience.

The guild was formed by 4 friends who are playing for fun and are aiming to grow in number, community, running end game content, pve, blah blah blah blah. We are not GW2 veterans, but we do have extensive mmo experience from other games.

Guild is barebones NEW. So you’ll have an opportunity to grow with the guild. There is no form to sign, no contract, no requirement to join.. Just have fun grouping with us and playing the game. Other guilds take this game way too seriously
