With the introduction of the tome that combines all the teleport scrolls from living story 3 it made me want a quality of life change that rolls that item in with the various gemstore teleports that you can buy into a single item, for example, i have 2 gold lounge passes and the home portal stone, i wish that all of those were included in this type of teleport item.

my biggest problem with the event, is the 10k drinks required to get the new skin, which wouldn’t have been a problem if they hadn’t removed the mystic forge recipe to make wintersday gifts, but sadly anet removed that, and the ability to trade ugly things for gifts, its a huge letdown as they essentially made a "farm these items in a limited time, but severely limited the supply.

Good job anet, i have spent way more money on this game than any other i have ever played, i have put money into your gemstore for skins and black lion chests, and this type of behavior is how you repay me for supporting your game, through months on end of no new content and horrible gating on your expansion, 10,000 specific drinks that can only be obtained and drunk within a short time, a time where people traditionally travel to spend time with loved ones, and you ask me to sit down and play your game farming endlessly for the chance at a skin that doesn’t even justify it by being ascended like the nightfurry? this is stupid and i will not spend another dime on this game. to often are you making it impossible to unlock all the rewards in an event (mordrem invasions were literally impossible to unlock all rewards) and now this.

I don’t think people get how bad the event is tuned for rewards.

I did some number Crunching on the event, First of all if you want to buy everything costing above 150 Blooms (the skins, tonics, and minis) it costs 2140 Blooms and 68 Gold. Now if you think about the event as a whole and your maximum earning potential there are approximately 18 events per day for the 4 day event, meaning there is approximately 72 invasions total(give a few extra depending on the time it went online vs the event ends). Now if you average 30 blooms per event (and from what i can tell most people are getting around half that per event) the most blooms you can get is 2160.

so my general point is, an event shouldn’t require that amount of dedication to get all the rewards, imagine how the new players feel seeing that level of dedication required.
the lack of xp loot and drops pushed this into the realm of disappointment, but the fact that getting 1 of every reward was impossible from the outset is what made me so disappointed, frustrated, and upset about the event.

I hope that the rewards are still bugged

im pretty sure them spawning champ bags and blooms would have helped alot, i also think it should have had a boss fight at the end

Now if you think about the event as a whole and your maximum earning potential there are approximately 18 events per day for the 4 day event, meaning there is approximately 72 invasions total(give a few extra depending on the time it went online vs the event ends). Now if you average 30 blooms per event (and from what i can tell most people are getting around half that per event) the most blooms you can get is 2160. I don’t think people get how bad the event is tuned for rewards, it needs to be multiplied significantly, now i am not saying make it easy, but it should be possible to do an event and sleep and still get the full reward.

Now i get that not being able to get everything may be intentional, but if this event is for new players then it missed its mark, as its to spread out across the maps, fighting enemies that are vastly over powered for characters in the level range the events take place in. If its for vets, well i listed the above why its not worth anyone’s time.
to fix the event to make event jumping less lucrative i would suggest having the mobs at the event drop the occasional bloom (or have the champs drop champ bags that contain blooms among other goodies) alternatively if the event ran through hots release with a loot drop buff of some sort (like having them drop anything at all). these are my thoughts yes they are jumbled welcome to my brain.

I hope that the rewards are still bugged

I actually would like to see something similar to this, but give us a bounty board each day that says "yesterday this was the least favorite dungeon/path or fractle/island combo, go do that and get extra rewards

i know that regardless of how we setup our gear we may have some decisions to make, i think each gear set should have a single select-able stat as that would fix this issue perfectly

Example, current soldiers sets would give [power] [toughness][vitality][Selectable stat]

My initial opinions,
Elite shout: its nice, with the right spec it gets condi removal for everyone and a nice buff to damage, i think its probably going to get nerfed a little bit, as it seems excessively powerful.
Elite Signet: i took one look at this and thought “well my hammer guardian is going to be really hard to kill in pve now” as far as the active ability, i honestly dont plan on using it, i usually keep the signet of resolve off cooldown as well, its just more passive healing for a class that already does that alot, might pop the active if things get dire, but i think it should rez dead and downed players to.

This is a concern of mine aswell, since i have already geared my guardian with ascended with this gear change i may have to go through and recreate my armor as most my vit comes from the trait lines.

My opinion of shield as a weapon is as follows. overall its a relatively weak weapon, that in most cases one of the other offhand weapons will be better to have.
after thinking about Shield 4 in comparison to Focus 4 and Torch 4, Shield 4 fits the same purpose of it only it does it better with the blinds and regeneration, and Torch 4 is just straight damage. In thinking of this i would change the shield in one of the following was
Either have it Create a symbol of protection at your location or give it a knock down/stun.

Now shield 5 is tricky as its up against two great skills, Focus 5 is a blast finisher, blocks and does damage, so its nice and versatile, Torch 5 is damage, and condition removal it hits 10 times so its also burns with the guardians passive on virtue of justice. On shield 5 you get a knock back and a tiny amount of damage, i would like to see it either A allow the guardian to move with it (and thus be able to block incoming attacks in other spots, or B lock the guardian into it and let the channel it for as long as they want, but if you do that it needs to have a ring of warding like effect.

The last thing i want to talk about is the upcoming trait change, the guardian shield traits have always been a little weak, having the guardians shield trait compete against another similar trait is stupid most people are going to take the strength in numbers trait as its a permanent buff compared to a slightly better but inconsistent buff to a less used weapon, Roll the two together, so that when the shield isn’t equipped it gives 150, when it is, it doubles the buff up for everyone, sure it seems powerful but the shield is almost entirely defensive, where as +300 toughness to everyone while its equipped would make it a powerful contender with focus and torch allowing it the place it deserves in the guardian’s kitten nal as a unique and useful weapon.
