Whenever I launch the game, my cursor disappears. I have looked at other posts about this issue and have followed the steps given to disable pointer trails on my mouse. That did not work for me, and I am still unable to see my cursor in game.
How can I fix this?

The same thing has been happening to me. I disabled my antivirus, restarted my computer, restarted my modem, set my firewall to low, and enabled all inbound and outbound ports for the application. My friends are using the same internet connection and having no problem. It has been kicking me off every 5 minutes.
