Citizens, fellow Broletarians,

Allow me to introduce The Broletariat: a guild that is built upon respect, mutual trust and egality. A guild that is meant to help you enjoy the game in whatever way you want to play it. Let my clarify by drawing up a non-exhaustive list of the objectives of the Broletariat.:

  • Offer a platform through which people can get to know one another, be it in order to run dungeons, farm or pvp/wvw.
  • Form a guild from the bottom-up, that is based upon sharing. Broletarians offer services to strengthen the Broletariat and are in return free to use the Broletariates resources. These consist of, but are not necessarily limited to: consumables, banners, upgrades, and equipment.
  • The Broletariat is as such not a guild, in the sense that it does not seek to produce any form of leadership. There are no different ranks, castes, or classes. Everyone is a broletarian in his or her own right.
  • Players that join the guild are however first put into a Trial rank, which allows them to try out the guild, and see if the community is to their liking. This rank comes without any obligation to represent in order for people to get a proper feel of the guild before deciding whether or not it’s something for them.
  • Members that then decide to join the guild are placed into the rank of Broletarian. This rank allows them to use all of the guilds resources, however, representation is required. In return for this, there are no further obligations for Broletarians. They are free to play with whomever they want, however they want, play whenever they want, etc. As a great man once said, every man or woman is entitled to the sweat of their own brow. The Broletariat wishes to stay true to this by allowing its members to play the way they want to play. If you want to watch cutscenes in dungeons, that’s fine. If you don’t want to skip parts of a dungeon’s encounters, that’s fine.

The Broletariat is a guild inspired by equality and emancipation. It does not require anything from its members, it does not restrict them in any way. However, I feel that in order for this to work, the guild needs to reach a certain threshold of people supporting it, by joining. Again, I wish to underline (literally) that the Broletariat does not require you to leave your current guild! You can just hang around using the Trial status in order to try it out first.

I think of it as a guild you can go to in order to see if people are online, and willing to give you a hand with a dungeon, some farming, a difficult group-event, or just to hang out with. Free of obligations restricting the way you want to play the game.

At the moment I am still looking for people interested in trying this kind of guild out. The Broletariat is still in a very early stage and barely realised! If you are willing to give it a shot, and help get this idea going, leave a post below and I’ll send you an invite, or contact me ingame.

Thanks,

The Broletariat
