From an ArenaNet perspective, PvP is the fastest growing part of Gw2 and had more success for us as a business in the last year than it’s had by far in the history of the Guild Wars franchise. Next year is going to be even bigger because of that success.

Just in case… I was able to fix it with the support team.

Please try running Guild Wars 2 in a Window. This should allow the game to bypass whatever resolution was picked and from there, you can reset it to full screen in the correct resolution. To do this:

First, please navigate to your Guild Wars 2 folder. By default, this will be C:\Program Files(x86)\Guild Wars 2.

Right-click on “GW2.exe” and select “Create Shortcut.”
Rename this shortcut to “Guild Wars 2 Windowed.”
Right-click on this shortcut and select “Properties.”
Edit the “Target” line to include -windowed at the end. Note: Please make sure -windowed is outside of the quotes --
Correctly Formatted Example: " C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe" -windowed --
Incorrectly Formatted Example: " C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe -windowed "
Once completed, click “Ok” to save your changes.

Hi there,

I haven’t started my client in about 2-3 weeks and just updated the game client yesterday but was’t able to start the game. Once I login and press start the screen flashes about 8 times quite rapidly between a black screen and my windows background and then it just returns to normal windows mode with the client closed.
I uninstalled the client, downloaded it anew, as well as the intel and nvidia drivers but the problem remains.
Not quite sure how to proceed…

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

disconnected on frostgorge (overflow) just now. actually my client crashed. had a note from windows that gw exe stopped working.
I wanna get it done so badly but after harati this morning and now this, my motivation is going down the drain

I didn’t get credit for Harati Hinterlands playing on Elona Reach this morning. My client crashed during the final wave. Was able to join my party but no additional point towards achievement. still 11/13

I’m totally behind this…but now I don’t know if that was ever implemented should I then transmute my AC exotics now or wait :/
