They gave us updates explaining the progress and what they were doing…
They cannot and should not address the issue every day like people keep asking for. Even that wouldn’t satisfy some people.
Who is saying that the issue should be addressed everyday here? The issue hasn’t been addressed in over a month but anyone in an official capacity at ANet. And given the last official update on the problem used the words “soon”, I think people are justified in demanding an update on the problem. Just an update. Even if they just blow us all off and said, sorry we hit a snag its going to likely be a while before this is fixed. That’s a response! We can stop anticipating the fix coming.

“we’ll be there soon”
That’s the definition of soon. Words mean things. Don’t use them if you don’t mean them. A fix was said to come soon on a day with much fanfare if I remember the exact words. I think this, rightly so, caused people to assume that it would be rolled out with the June 23rd patch. This is an important issue to alot of people. Not so much to me, but I would sure like it to be fixed. I think we all mostly understand that it is a complex problem and that we want it to be fixed, while not breaking something else that is much more critical than this. And it has been over 3 months now. So don’t tell me people don’t deserve an update on this.
