Hey folks! Returning to the game again, and I’m searching for a guild to just play the game with!
My main areas of interest include sPvP and PvE content. I also do a bit of RPing on the side as well, but not as much anymore.
Currently, I am on Tarnished Coast. Thanks, and I hope to see you in-game!
Hello! I’m coming back after a longish break from the game. I’m looking to get back into the RP scene, while learning to play the game, seeing the content, kill some people in PvP, all of that.
I’m looking for a general guild(s) that do those thing. Mostly, I want a decent social guild. Talk on a voice program, RP, anything really. I’m willing to move servers if that is an issue. Thanks.
I just back into the game after a long break and decided to start all over. I have been looking over all the servers and I am having a hard time picking one. With the new mega servers and guild systems, does it matter anymore?
I have not played Guild Wars 2 in about a year. However, I have been playing WoW for six months (and many years before that) and loving it. I started playing WoD and got to 93. This morning, the start of a three day weekend, I was planning on playing even more, yet I am here and currently playing GW2. What is going on? This was the last thing I expected.
I have a stronger desire to play GW2 then Warlords all of a sudden.
Hey guys. I just started getting back into GW2, and I was wondering about what class I should use. What are people’s thoughts on the best healer? Since the removal of the holy three, what class fits the healer role or what class is a good support class? Thanks!
Guild Name: The Lion’s Eye
Timezone: NA. Most active towards the evening and on the weekends!
Guild Primary Focus: PvE/RP. SPvP in the future.
Guild RP: Yes! While not mandatory, it is highly suggested.
Voice: None, yet. Will change in the future.
Requirements: 18+, A sense of humor, and a love of Guild Wars 2.
The Lion’s Eye is a new guild that has three main functions. One, provide a fun PvE environment to do the content (dungeons, map completion, leveling of alts, and guild missions once we have them). Two, provide a different RP type guild that is not based on a mercenary company, a human noble house, or military style. Third, start a community of players that enjoy coming on and doing stuff with the guild. Its the type of a group that one will look forward to talking to when they get on.
The Lion’s Eye is a Lion’s Arch themed guild; however, your character(s) don’t have to be a part of the Lion Guard or from the city. The current story contains several different characters from different parts of the globe with different intentions. Some characters have intentions of simply surviving while others have more devious plots in store for Tyria. Will YOU be the one to keep Tyria safe or will you bring it down to its knees?
As for rules. I like to keep it simple.
1. Respect everyone.
2. No drama what so ever. Some fighting is bound to happen, but learn to move on and forgive. If you can’t do that, just make sure to act civil in guild chat and in voice.
3. Be active.
4. Have a sense of humor.
If you would like to join, please contact Shaan Gamma (brian.5946) in-game for an invite/more info.
As much as it sounds awesome in theory, it has been anything but great if they’re going to keep up as they are now.
Phase 1: Run to X spot, Kill X amount / Press F. Repeat with new spot.
Phase 2: Tiny instance. Run to X spot, Kill X amount / Press F. Repeat with new spot.
Phase 3: Awesome cool Dungeon that will disappear after ~2 weeks. Oh and ‘Run to X spot, Kill X amount / Press F. Repeat with new spot.’.10 new achievements every 2 weeks which involves several hours of running to X spot, kill X Amount of something. I’m going to go insane.
This experience so far has been anything but fun.
I disagree. I believe the content has been fun. As for too much content, I can see that. What they should do is have the current and previous chapters open (meaning each chapter would be around for a month). Overall, I think this is a good step in the right direction.

Thoughts? I like it, and it could seem like a fix for the temporary dungeons. Only thing I hope is that the content does not suffer from being rushed.
As for PVE, I’ve been using the shortbow (with marksmen, survival and nature magic). Its been really good. If you want, I can show you the exacts of the build.
I’m looking to play around with a new style of play with my ranger other then short bow. Any good melee builds for World Vs. World or in general?
Yea…so… Why would we attack someone because they like the game? Good for them. I don’t speak for anyone but myself, and I have no problem with people loving and enjoying this game.
The problem stems from forum warriors attacking anyone who has a negative opinion about any aspect of the game. They should learn to be more accepting. This goes both ways, people with a negative view on aspects of the game shouldn’t come here without a coherent well thought reason for why you feel the way you do. It just enforces this mentality that anyone who doesn’t worship the game or Anet is a “hater”
To the OP: I’m glad you enjoy GW2 as it is surely one of the better games out there
From just reading the forums today I have seen a lot of bashing going both ways. From those that like the game, and from those that don’t. Thus the warning to the OP. I wasn’t naming anyone specifically, although your post sounds like you’re feeling a little guilty (as my mother always put it, got a guilty conscience?)
I could go into depth on my thoughts here, but it would most likely derail the thread, so I won’t.
Back on topic:
I can agree with some type of looking for group mechanic. Personally, I would be happy with something as simple as what was implemented in GW1, while I know other’s would still prefer something more ‘WoW’-esk in design. Personally, I’m content with the LFG website, but I agree that it would be easier to just have something built directly into the game.Just trying to help those whose voices are drowned out or thought of as not as important. My conscious couldn’t be cleaner, I’m just tired of the bickering on both sides.
This is a great game with some cool ideas, but saying it shouldn’t be changed or improved hurts the game and the image of the game to people looking to pick it up.
But yes let’s try to keep this on topic as this is actually a relatively nice post for once
As I said, the game has room for change and improvement. I think there are some things OK to bicker about (Longbow vs. Shortbow or degreaser vs. stock). I think the forums could use a postive post once and a while.
I fully agree. Its is wrong for anyone to attack another for their opinion. They have the right to post it, and speak it. After a few days on the forum, I got tired of so many negative posts about the game. I wanted to make a postive post about a game I really think is one of the better MMOs out. Those who think the game is perfect (or that any game is perfect) need to really look at the game harder.
No game is perfect. Be it single-player or an MMO. There is ALWAYS room for improvement. For one, I think a LFG system in-game needed to be done at launch, and an in-game web browser would be nice.
I’ve played many MMOs (WoW, Rift, EVE, LOTRO, Everquest, and DC Online). Out of all of them, I think Guild Wars 2 is the best. Why? A few simple reasons.
1. The content is great. I look forward every time entering a new area. I can’t wait to see what it looks like, or the major issue of the area. A great example of this is the Fields of Ruin. I went there as part of the Vigil quest line, and I really enjoyed the whole area, because the quests (both story and non-story) felt like it meant something and gave me motivation to continue. Every two levels, or so, I look forward to see the story missions.
2. Out of all games, this is the best PVP. For the most part, its balanced and non-gear dependent. Whenever I join a match, I never feel out-geared or what not. While I have not played much World vs. World, the system could stand a few tweaks, but overall I feel its a solid PVP mode.
3. The amount of patch content is great. Every month is a new dungeon. While they may only exist for a short time, that is fine. The game feels like it is a living world.
Overall, keep up the great work Arena.Net. Your game is the best MMO I’ve played. Some dislike it, because you changed it from Guild Wars 1. Don’t listen to them. Keep on doing a job.
I got a question about the Overwolf overlay (http://www.overwolf.com/). Is this allowed? If I use, will I get ban (don’t know how that system works). Does anyone else use it?
The United People of Tyria is a brand new guild. When I mean new, I mean new. While it is a young and under-developed guild, I have dreams for it. What are those dreams? Simple.
1. A guild where people know each other. One they can come on after a long day in the real life, and relax with friends.
2. One that can work together to help grow and expand the guild. Missions and ranks? Those too.
Rules? I believe in just three simple rules.
1. Keep guild chat clean. This does not mean we are family-friendly, but means that guild chat should be kept clean of any heavy profanity.
2. Respect everyone. This is most important. Treat others how you would want to be treated.
3. Have fun. Too many times have I seen gaming groups torn apart by drama. I don’t believe a group should have this much drama. This is going to be a laid-back group.
As I have said, this is a new guild. Do you want to help build a new guild? Discover the joys of reaching that new rank? Join the United People of Tyria.
If you wish for more information, contact me on the forums or add me to your friends.
Thanks and see ya around Tyria!
