I’d like to throw my two cents in, just because I can. I bought my copy of the game on Saturday. I played for an HOUR on Saturday before I was banned. Clearly, I am not a bot, nor do I have know how at this point to manipulate the system through the use of macros.
As a new user to the game, this is more than frustrating, this is getting to be infuriating. I feel like I have wasted sixty-dollars to watch my husband enjoy playing his copy of the game, while I sit around waiting to hear from support.
To add to my frustration tonight, we have seen someone else on my account, and when my husband has tried to interact with that person, they have logged off. I have updated my ticket with the new information but still have not received a response.
This is not a good way to build relationships with customers. Either new or existing customers. You don’t treat your customers like criminals FIRST and then go around investigating them after. You treat them with respect and dignity and find other ways to clamp down on bots, gold sellers and the problems of MMO’s.
I don’t want to get my account unbanned and have to worry about the possibility of having it happen again down the road, for no good reason. Because during an hour of gameplay, there is nothing that I could have done, that could be that suspicious to outright ban me.
I’m disappointed that the support system doesn’t offer a concrete timeframe for an initial response. “shortly” and “ASAP” are not proper timeframes for a response. There should also be some other method for contact besides e-mail only. Waiting for an e-mail is ridiculous. Blizzard offers a phone line, and even if it wasn’t a perfect system there, and maybe long wait times on the phone, at least I always had the opportunity to speak with a person if I had the time to wait it out. Especially with something as delicate as my account. Even an online chat system would be a great alternative to waiting for an e-mail.
I work in customer service for a living. Let me just say, so far, this is the worst customer service experience I have had in a long time. Worse than Comcast, and that’s saying something.

Someone keeps logging on to my account, and when my husband tries to interact with him or her they log out. ’Tis very fishy…

I don’t know what rubber banding/teleporting is. I’m seriously brand new. I did get the black screen of death though! I thought my computer was crashing.

My account is one of those was that was swept in the massive account banning this weekend for botting – but my husband just saw my account logged in to the game. Is this due to the support team investigating or has my account been hacked? I’ve updated my ticket, but I’m confused and frustrated.
I literally had been playing the game for my first hour ever when my account was banned on Saturday. This is not a great first impression.
