Been trying a condi necro in pvp with the blood magic tree but I feel my options are so limited as there are only 2 condi amulets. Just to compare. There are 6 power amulets with different stat combinations.
I really would love a 900 precision, 900 healing power and 1200 condi combination to fit a condi/blood magic playstyle.

Could not have said it better.
I don’t have much pve exp with my mesmer, but i tried some pvp builds without DE and I really disliked it. Less close means less shatters and less confusion the enemy = less survivability and damage.
I tried making some HoT pvp builds with the new editor and I feel I have even less choice as a pvp mesmer then before. The dueling line is mandatory in my opinion because of DE. So i’m left with only 2 others trait lines to choose from. I wanna go for a shatter build? Well i have to pick Domination and Illusions.
We don’t know the chrono traits yet. Even if there is a trait that can replace DE that just results me being locked in chrono instead of dueling.
Totally agree. Some traits are way to specific like you mentioned. Others like the falling reduction and revive traits are just boring. Who needs a spike trap when reviving an ally?
I dont’t agree with the poster above me. I don’t want a trait that isn’t useless. I want a trait that fits my build perfectly. I though thats the whole point of the new system. Less but better options.
If you look at the thief traits, those all seem to synergize well with eachother. Really a lot of options there.
Totally agree from a pvp point of view. There is a reason every pvp build takes the trait.
This is the exact same thing I was wondering about then I read about the new trait system.
Blasting Staff is pretty mandatory when using a staff. So this would mean that the arcana tree is mandatory for staff ele’s in the xpac.

Hi all,
The pvp community is getting worse and worse every week in my opinion. I can’t count the number of times I get whispers with verbal abuse from other players. It happens more every day.
Today someone whished for me to get cancer. Not too long ago another fellow wished my entire family dead. The thing is, these whispers don’t even suprise me anymore because they happen that often.
I report every single case of verbal abuse but I have the feeling things aren’t getting any better. It’s really starting to effect the pleasure I have with GW. I’m really interested what happens with these reports and if these people get warnings.
Wondering if other people recognize this.

What do you guys think about the new boon: Resistance? I have some mixed fealings about it.
It sounds interesting, but i feel there already are a lot of condition cleanses in pvp. How will this new boon effect condition based builds?
The blog post has a example of Resistance temporarely stopping a fear but how does it work exactly? For example:
A necro lands a 3 second fear on me. After 2 seconds I get Resistance. What happens when the boon ends? Will I be feared for the remaining 1 second if it didnt get cleansed?

I want to level an engineer but i’m not sure what race to make him. Asura fit quite wel in my opinion but I have so many already! But what do you guys think fits the best for an engi lore wise?
My races so far:
Warrior – Charr. Fits the race perfectly
Ele/Necro/Mesmer – Asura. Just love those little guys as casters.
Ranger – Sylvari.
Guardian – Human.

Thats couldt be intended right? Even with 2/3 pulses i have 4 seconds of stealth. Seems strange that it would break those remaining seconds if I leave it.
Cant remember it worked that way some time ago. Or did AN change it?

I believe shadow refuge is bugged. It doenst matter how long i stay in it to stack stealth, the moment i leave the field my stealth breaks
For the love of god add a ‘leave penalty’ to this game. The loosing side always leaves just before the end of the game so the other side auto balances.
Nothing is more frustrating then to get auto balanced even when i have been in the game since the start…..
