Well, I forgot how many times I lost exp due to inactivity while I’m active in an event. For example; the pact survivors event. While I’m just following the survivors, because there’s literally nothing else to do, the game suddenly says I’m not attending to this event anymore due to inactivity, and I don’t get any exp when the even ends. I saved every single pact survivor the event needs, which is 10, and I killed every mob on the way, but I got no exp, because the event tells me nothing to do and just follow the survivors?
I also had the same problem on several different events. Not fun, ArenaNet, not fun at all.
