Guild Wars 2

Ello.

I go by Verse and as the title implies, I’m looking for a PvX guild to call home, a group of wonderful individuals who have wicked senses of humor, a colorful vocabulary, among other things. Feel free to ask questions if you’d like more information. Listed below is a small list of what I’d like in a guild, but not limited to what it contains:

What I’m searching for:

• Relaxed atmosphere with friendly and knowledgeable members who have fun in all that they do
• Guild members willing to teach and guide (I want to learn how to raid and I have friends willing to teach, but I lack the time most evenings, save for weekends)
• Flexible play times (I have a life outside of this game as people do, but I mostly play in the evenings and on weekends)
• AN ACTIVE GUILD
• As mentioned above, a wicked sense of humor (I’m not above jokes and often crack them)
• Insanity, because I’m half a pair of twin Asura Reapers who love chaos and destruction.. and puns.. and awful jokes :>

What I’m NOT searching for:

• Elitist mentalities and/or meta thumpers (ref 1 – see bottom)
• Being forced to use a voice service like Discord, TS, etc. (ref 2)
• Mean-spirited individuals who can’t take a good dose of insanity

What I’m able to bring to the guild yard:

• Intelligent conversation, sprinkled with fun banter
• Decent knowledge about the outside world (Legasp!)
• Helpful, fun nature

Things you should know:

• I’m in the EST timezone
• I’ve been playing since Day 1 but have taken breaks from playing due to real life
• I have HoT and plan to get PoF
• I love to theory-craft and enjoy a good challenge
• I own a reliable computer and internet connection and have my own in-house tech guru (boyfriend!)
• 13 years of online gaming experience
• Fairly mature but I have my moments of silliness and general shenanigans

(ref 1) I know people love their “Flavor of the Month” builds to obtain the quickest routes for content completion and if that’s how you enjoy your game, good for you, but I don’t like or follow the meta because I enjoy creativity and seeing how far I can bend a class when making a build. I love to experiment, take advice and apply knowledge gleaned from discussions with meta and non-meta users alike, if presented in a decent manner (aka if a person is a jerk when talking, it’s less likely I’ll take you seriously).

(ref 2) Yes, I understand voice programs are important for organized content play, but I’m kind of a shy person (I warm up eventually, promise!) and get a little irked when there are like 10 people at once vying for a chance to speak.
