hello peeps. I’ve been struggling with choosing characters , i know it’s annoying , but i really need help to choose
I’m looking for character useful for pve content solo and groups. With a possibility to pvp for fun. Something fun to play…
So i tried all the professions except mesmer and engi , because mesmer seems like more single target or PvP like character , and engi i don’t know just doesn’t look fun to me. I played many different mmorpgs , but it’s never been so difficult to choose one character. It’s like I love and hate them all at the same time
I have:
• Guardian – boosted to lvl 80 i kinda like it , but I just don’t wanna touch it until ill reach 80 by myself with other character. boosted just to get glider )
• Hunter – doesn’t feel comfortable being dependant on pet , and damage is single targeted … except the 5 skill on lb … but it feels not enough, and using other weapons as main … just doesn’t feel right… so squishy if i get too close.
• Warrior – reached highest level with this one almost 30 :D . Really fun to play, a bit too easy to control, but feels nice. I was expecting to get unkillable tank with decent dps . That kind of characters usualy rule pve , but people talk differently . I’ve been reading through different forums , i got the idea that warriors kinda doesn’t have a main role or the thing they are good at , and basically are not that good at anything .
• Thief – had the most fun lvling this one… really fun to jump around the map, killing mobs without getting a single hit , but feels like it’s more pvp based class. not sure if it’s useful for pve content. And you probably get so squishy late game , that if you fail to evade , you die … that might be a problem to fight in close range in crowded places also feels like it has lack of aoe dmg as well but not too sure , because i haven’t tried all of his weapon sets.
• Elementalist – that’s the class people around forums say … it’s so good for pve ! so i tried it as well … reached lvl 10 also tried it in pvp lobby . Leveling wasn’t very fun quite slow and boring also the skill sets was sooo complex. Are you playing your keyboard like a piano while evading all the attacks? basicaly i just couldn’t find a way to play it effective yet. but it’s the profession i played least of all above.
This game has a bit different concept than other mmorpgs i’ve tried . It’s something new for me , that’s why it’s so hard to choose. I just want to play them all . I keep swaping from one to another, but i wanna make one strong character as my main. I’m struggling with that for almost a week now . I know YOU HAVE play the character you like the most and bla bla bla this game is changing the balance all the time , but i like and hate them all like i said :D.
