As to the Streaming Client, I am a bit confused about waiting for it to download the files when attempting to enter another map, then being alerted the download is finished, entering the map, and having to wait while it downloads the files, yet again (just as it always has).

I do, however, like the fact you can enter the game before downloading all the files from the launcher (though a minute or two makes little difference, I suppose).

I don’t seem to understand what you’re saying about the “being altered the download is finished” … what streaming client does for new users is ..give them access to starting zones/maps earlier … while they’re still downloading the game.. and keep downloading as they lvl/play if they go to another map that’s still not downloaded the client will prioritize that map and download while he’s “loading” the map and so on… Gw2 is not the first game to do this.

This has been around for quite some time with another MMOs, for current users that already have the full client downloaded i guess it will just update what’s new while you’re playing .. so i guess you won’t see much of a difference .. i guess the only thing you could encounter is some sort of Lag depending on your settings and/or your connection speeds.

At least that’s what i think it does.

And as for the minute or two .. i guess for a new player it’s much more than that, if it works the way i explained above.

Feel free to use this Topic for discussing the Streaming Client (Beta) since i couldn’t find any other except for the one on how to activate the Streaming Client on a MAC…

… anyway … am i the only one that didn’t read enough and thought Streaming Client (beta) was for streaming the game to places such as Twitch.tv etc???

I know i might be late for this fix or that it has been sooo soooooo long since this issue was posted but i found a solution for my problem with the G930 which was stuttering or clipping at low volumes using the 7.1 option.

I followed almost every solution here and nothing seemed to work for me, what i did found out was that when i used the steps by Balestar.3204 ..my problem was worse .. the stuttering or clipping was continuous, so i did the oposite .. this are my steps in Windows 8.1 x64:

1 – Right-click the speaker icon on the system tray and select playback devices.
2 – Select your Logitech G930 device, righ-click on it and select Configure Speakers.
3 – Select 7.1 hit next, make sure ALL speakers are selected and hit next, then make sure ALL speakers are selected as FULL RANGE speakers and hit next then finish.
4 – Right-click on your G930 device again and select Properties.
5 – Go to the Enhancements Tab and select []Disable all enhancements and then hit Apply.

This instantaneously fixed my problem i didn’t had to restart Gw2 or anything .. it just went mute for .5s and then all was normal .. 7.1 and Stereo working great.

i would like to remap/ keybind my forward/back mouse wheel to next/previous target :/ .. why is no one doing anything about this .. devs !!! act!!!

i guess i was just hoping for a more social alternative .. not a structured one .. but yes .. i guess it’s not needed .. an i knew that .. i just was hoping they added it .. maybe something that you could only use while world exploring or while not on pvp .. something just to hang around with your guildmates

I know that the public “grouping” system is awesome and well thought but as Ncsoft has been saying .. Gw2 success over this time has been the “social” part of the game .. it’s what’s made it what it is … the capabilities and re-playability of the Events thanks to its dynamic changes according to how many people its there … that’s great .. but .. sometimes I just want to hang around with my guild and explore, do jumping puzzles, go WvW and hang out together and we can but it’s very difficult to point places .. tell people where to go .. when you can’t group all of them together .. group size is limited by 5 and I get it .. but .. can you make something like .. guild grouping .. this would make a huge sense In the WvW battles .. cause the game is called Guild Wars .. it would really be impressive to have a complete guild on a group .. (of course i’m speaking of smaller guilds .. I can’t imagine how this will be on a guild with 500 people .. it would be impossible to create a group that big ) im just saying .. I’ve been doing lots of exploration and jumping puzzles with my guild pals but as I said its hard to point the right way.
