I like the idea of individualized storage panes. One that I thought about would be an individualized storage pane for items that are soulbound. I have having four stacks of fireworks for four different characters. Which I ended up getting rid of. Anyway, I would be willing to pay extra for a pane that holds soulbound items for each character.

New achievement UI ideas

So as you all know Anet has put out a new achievement system which is great in itself but as i was playing today i found myself finding some issues with it that i would like to address and get your opinions on! So to start it of…

Personal Story:
This UI is handy.. on the days when my daily requires me to actually complete my personal story. The rest of the time it just takes up space that i think could be better used; So a way to show/hide the personal story content would be great.

As an alternative, I would like for the Personal Story to be the first one to get minimized.. not the achievements I am currently working towards. (on a side note: I’m not 100% sure if this still applies, but if it does, then there you go.)

Achievements:
The Achievements UI is nice but it tends to just be a jumble of words and I find it faster to just open up the achievements panel to see where I am at with my dailies. As a proposition I would like to see Dailies (maybe monthlies too? Might be a good alternative to display once the dailies are all completed.) fall into there own category when selected to be put into the watch section (Like they used to be), either effectively removing one line from the Achievements for each Daily you select or possibly effective use of the Personal Story space When you have it hidden or completed. The Daily Achievements would have a maximum of 5 line items. The Dailies UI will only pop up once you have dailies selected.
On that note, It would also be convenient to have a “hide on 100% completion” for the dailies tab, so that way once you finish whatever daily you had selected, it will be removed automatically and one line will be pushed back to the achievement panel. I find it quite inconvenient to have to select and de-select my dailies everyday.

Achievement Panel:
The “nearly Completed” section is quite handy and a big motivator to help me finish those things that I am close to finishing but would have never known about. But occasionally I find my list filled with things that well.. I’m not going to be finishing anytime soon; such as GW1 achievements. To make this more so that the user could manipulate it in was that they felt necessary I propose the following changes. A way to select which area of the achievement panel you would like to show in the nearly completed section. Say you want to spend all day Saturday competing in the Keg Brawl? Well that’s just fantastic! cause I dislike the sport; but the ability to set the “keg Brawl” section as what you want on your nearly completed would make it much easier to cycle through the achievements as you completed them and wanted to add new ones to your UI Achievements watch list. Wanna go kill 1k of different kinds of animals all day?! What fun you will have.. But the ability to add slayer and only slayer achievements to the nearly completed list will help start with the ones you have already completed the most with. I think you get the point but as a final example this would extremely help augment the Living Story making it quick to select things that you have yet to start, or are close to finishing.

Overall I really like the new achievement system. I think it is a big improvement from what was, and hopefully this will just be a second step to make a good improvement even better.
