It’s the New Player Experience. Since you have a new account with no old chars, those are unlocking as you level.
Is there a way to link it to my old EU account? I can now see that I cannot do WvW until lvl 18 and PvP until lvl 22.

Just came back on a new account after playing some in the beta.
I quickly noticed that my map only shows the Renown Hearts. I tried to enable everything in the lower left corner in the map (M).
After a couple of relogs and reaching level 7, points of interests started showing up.
What is the problem here?
