I have only ever PVEd on my mesmer until very recently. I am currently running a 0/20/20/2010 build for dungeons using staff and sword/focus. I really enjoy the utility of the staff. Several people I have talked to state that the way to play mes in WvW is using gs and sword/focus.

Am I doomed to fail if I decide to use staff instead of GS? I saw Osicat (hope that’s right!) video with a 0/20/20/0/30 set up using focus/sword and staff and loved it.

Basically, any feedback would be very very welcome.

Read and loved the book Great addition to the lore bridging GW1 and GW2. I just wish it was out last year.
