Guild Wars 2

So after one year and half of not playing gw2 I started again last month to find myself stuck with endless frustration of desktop computer crashing and rebooting just at any possible moment of playing, my friend and I have done everything we could have to detect the problem, such as replacing the video card, memory sticks, reinstalling windows and the game and none of these worked.

What’s funny is before I quitted gaming my system handled the game just fine so in the end I went to search the Chinese GW2 discussion board ( official and non) and found a awful lot of chinese players complaining about the same problem while the chinese game distributor turns a blind eye on.

Anyway some guy on the Chinese discussion board offered a solution which is while you are running the game instance go to the affinity option of the task manager game instance and DISABLE TWO CORES OF YOUR AMD 640 4 CORE CPU. And this worked right away no more reboots.

So I do believe that the game’s coding might have some kind of conflict with the AMD cpu. Not with all of them but every person who reported the problem all have the Amd chip. For some people they actually needed to down clock the cpu and increase its voltage but for me unchecking two cores worked.

I see so many people having this problem so hopefully this solution work for you guys too.and if it indeed does please sticky the post so more could see it.
