Quick newbie question, you can actually try on most all the armor, or at least some of the armor available in game in PvP without having to PvP? Is that right? I think I read somewhere that some of the PvP armor has no PvE equivalents? Is that also the case?
I hope I can eventually save up enough gold to grab some of the cultural armors. It is gonna take me forever lol, but hey, at least I have something to work towards, right?

@Helequin – that would be cool, I like the sound of that, cooperative build tinkering, if the Mists are cross-server, and I do not know if they are either lol
@puggernaut – I am still running around in the low level areas, I do not have even 1 level 80 lol and I cannot decide exactly which profession to main either. There are so many fun and interesting choices!
I really, really wish they would implement guesting since, for now, you can only PvE with people on your server. I would love to run around with you and your bf (I am on Tarnished Coast).There are some great Sanctum of Rall folks here and I bet they would have no problem helping out AND you both can always talk to us on guild chat, doesn’t matter what server you are on, so please hop on in and join in the MADNESS! Heehee.

@Helequin, thanks for laying out your builds and the time it took you to do so! Another big help. My Necro is only level 3 and my Ranger almost 20. I need to play around with builds that is for sure lol. It is such fun and a little intimidating lol.
Now that the AA has been mentioned again I am going to have to create an Asura Engi, I think.

@Helequin – Your Ranger and Necro are both melee, right? What are the sets of utilities that make them fun and viable for you (would/will when they fix the bugs), if you do not mind my asking, that is?
Thanks for taking the time, guys and gals, to give your thoughts about the heavy armor classes. I guess I just haven’t found THE profession for me yet lol. Like I said before, is it a good idea to try the professions I am interested in up to a certain level or is it that some of them do not really start to shine until about level 40? I know it is kinda a personal thing too but it would help me out. Am I wasting precious time by trying several professions at once? As always, any thoughts, advice would be much appreciated.

It was great seeing some of you in game this evening! Well chatting with you all, that is lol, while I was trying out my Norn Guardian. Nor sure how I feel about her yet lol since I am still low level. Kinda takes some getting used to because of the low health pool lol. Almost died jumping off after finishing a vista in Hoelbrak lol.
@Aeleniel – I used my low level Ranger, I think she was not much over 10, in the Lost Shores event and managed to do okay, lol died of course, many times lol, but rezzed people, did a little damage, my pet probably did the most lol and even managed to run all the way back to the Zerg I was with through all those nasties, blecch, lol and did not die lol, of course I did not stop running heck bent for leather lol. I hated those stupid head crab things lol.
I am trying to level up some of my characters, but it is hard because I cannot decide which to main, it is driving me batty lol. I want to make an Asura, but am undecided between Warrior, Engi, or Ele, or even Thief. I am trying to get the ones I created already to at least level 20 to see what I like best, but is that even a good idea? Arrgghh, so many things to try lol!
Just curious what some of you do not like about heavy armor classes? The Guardian in particular. I like hearing others’ opinions.

Hello! I am completely new to MMOs and to PC games as well lol. I am already an alt-aholic which I suppose explains why I don’t have any characters at 80 lol. I am still learning the ropes, so I can use all the help I can get heehee.
I enjoy helping people when I can, rez anyone I see pretty much and try to lend a hand if it looks like someone is in trouble even though I am a newbie lol. I love to laugh, be silly and never plan on growing up completely. I try to spread fun and kindness wherever I go, after all, life is too short not to laugh as much as you can.

Interests: PvE mostly, would like to do dungeons at some point when I feel more confident, not really interested in PvP, might like to try WvWvW eventually, would love to try my hand at some jumping puzzles since I haven’t done any at all and still getting used to moving around period lol and…I fall down a lot lol doing Vistas lol but I try until I get ‘em even if it takes me awhile. I would like to buddy up with a few people for PvE and such, but I like taking my time, not rushing, just looking at everything, doing Hearts, Waypoints, Vistas, DEs, chatting, just having fun in general heehee.
Active: Some evenings, weekends and at odd times during the day. I am in the States, CST time.
Additional Comments: I tend to be a little quiet until I get to know people. Still getting used to the whole chatting thing and am a slow typist lol. I am in a guild at the moment, but would be glad to represent the Legion at anytime if it is still acceptable to be in more than one guild. I really like what the Legion of Honour XIII stands for and the whole idea of Operation: UNION’S project and would love to be apart of it all.
