My character Cuchallain.
He’s a thief who strangely enough chose to join the vigil rather than the order of whispers. You may be wondering why, well it’s simple. Unlike other thieves who use subterfuge and cloaking to fight from the shadows, Cuchallain has trained to use the vampiric elements of his class to their full advantage. He’s at his happiest when surrounded by enemies and making them all look like fools, bouncing arrows between them as he dodges their attacks. He takes special pleasure in taking down large groups of enemies then finishing the final few with slow and painful slashes of his daggers.
Truly roguish and a thief for sure, but he always makes sure to look after his allies on the battlefield, mainly so they can sing his praises later in the tavern. Of course that’s when he isn’t busy singing his own praises to any women who would lend him an ear. He is truly in the business of slaying monsters and finding riches, yet he doesn’t need the gold he finds, nor the experience from monsters he’s slain. Cuchallain is simply all about the glory that can only be found by scrawling his name on the passages of history by his own hand.
I have to say this woman is an amazing artist. I’ve already received progress updates and she’s been asking me to describe my character’s personality which she has used to further personalize the art piece on top of the actual reference image I sent. Just amazing overall, so far.
in case you still want some:
id like to add to this that pristine fractal relics ive been getting since yesterday dont stack with old ones. When i try to put them in my bank on top of my old ones they just switch places. Annoying…
Hey guys, was a while since I played gw2 then me and some friends jumped on our characters and tried to do some of the season 2 achievements while failing horribly. I recorded bits and pieces and made a video of the funniest moments. Let me know what you think about it, I’m not good at editing videos and even the quality is a bit of a problem right now so any feedback would be great.
I found one more while looking through screens.
Been on both sides of this one tbh
I’ll just add my own view to this topic. I took a break after the wintersday event and came back for queen Jennah’s jubilee. Did I miss a lot of content? I guess so, but none of it really mattered to me. If you’re the type of person to say “I can’t keep up with the updates because I actually have a life” then you should also be the type of person who can come back to the game and say “Wow, flame and frost sounds like it was pretty cool. Scarlet was being hinted at from way back then? She must be kitten”-and she is. When the game first came out I was on pretty much every day, grinding, doing map completion, finishing the storyline and generally exploring every part of the game that interested me. None of that has changed for me just because I don’t have time to keep up with ever single living world update. I read up on the storyline going on in the living world and was genuinely interested to find out who Scarlet was.
Arena net introduced the living story to keep up the idea that they created with dynamic events. Players shape the world around them and feel like they’ve made a contribution. The idea was good and the constant updates kept many players coming back with every new update. Now that players have gone through it for a year, the events are likely to slow down a bit anyway. Honestly I think that this year they SHOULD slow it down. Re-release some of last years events that they can do as an anniversary thing like the mad king, wintersday and dragon bash. That should free up their teams for what we’re all really hoping for. A true update that could hopefully be completed by september 2014. Perhaps adding a new map and taking us to visit Palawa Joko in Elona and revisiting the storyline that was started in guild wars 1. Perhaps instead the sea route will be re established and we will be able to travel to Cantha and begin negotiations with their ruler who according to the lore will hate all non-human characters.
Basically, I don’t mind missing the living story events, so I don’t agree with them being burning. I enjoy completing them when I have the time, but am happy to focus on other parts of the game even while the rest of the servers continuously farm events. I also wouldn’t mind if they took a break from them and instead took the time to begin shaping a further expansion to the storyline and world of Tyria. If they truly want players to feel like they shape the world around them then what better way is there than letting us complete another adventure? That’s my opinion anyway. Balancing everyone’s personal loves for this game is what Arena net have to try to accomplish though. Living story is a good way to bring a bit for everyone to enjoy every few weeks, as long as they can just do what they enjoy and not feel that they have to accomplish everything.
