I sometimes think of buying gems, have in the past, and like to support NCsoft (I know Anet gets the money) … but you guys remind me why I should not… If they listened to us WvWers and responded with some decent answers… I would buy more gems…

I think a S/F bunker might actually work pretty well. … Mix that with a 0/0/20/20/30

that’s my regular wvw build and it’s great it’s hard for me to die… but if i don’t have all my stacks and buffs and foods, I can’t kill a bunny… or at least against any decent wvw player.

my new staff support wvw build is signets and 0/0/30/30/10 and thats usually for reset night on SoR. Works great since I can’t use any skills anyways and I could last for ever on the staff around tens of enemies that can’t use any skills also… anyhow I would love more direct damage for ele… just give us some more damage so I can actually kill things with my build, not instant death that a war or thief brings but after 30 to 1 min I should be able to kill an opponent instead of the two of us just looking at each other and walking away… if I change to a more direct dps mode then I just die… that is the basic problem with the ele, in that we have to choose burst damage or bunker build support… why, why cant we have a balance and let our skills determine that…

Yeah there are pro players that will just kick kitten but that’s what they are pro players..

On SoR BL, TC had just hit inner garrison gate with golems and 30+ TC….it WAS going to be interesting…then crash…so sad

our zerg was just running in to defend it… then kicked, we were all mad; then some guys made a good point saying that you guys were probably more bummed about it. I would have to say that the fighting was great on your part, keep it up.

I’d rather have cannon or oil mastery trait allow me to take no damage while manning them. That would be useful. That way you’d have to kill the weapon to kill the operator.

this, great idea, or 50% less damage so it is not abused… or anything that won’t make it op

Oil single handedly stalls a group from siegeing a gate for a good minute or two. How is that in anyway useless…?

Just because you aren’t wracking up kills from it =/= serves no purpose.

Yeah, the oil itself is useful simply by its presence.
That doesn’t mean Oil Mastery will be at all useful.
No one builds anything on the gate while the oil is up, so points in making the oil better are a waste.

I agree that points into oil mastery might be a waste… a possible solution is that oil mastery allows users to have remote access to oil delivery!

I think a more important mechanic for oil would be that oil can be charged… that is that if the oil is full and charged… it will deploy and release all the oil when it is destroyed.

So when attacking a keep that is unmanned the oil will still trigger if it is destroyed and if the attackers choose to ignore the oil it will be available for the first defender that makes it into the keep.
