Add a filter to the Trading Post that allows the user to “show locked only.”

It’s a drag having to mouse over each item when I want to buy new skins, new dyes, or new recipes.

Add a Bookshelf to the Home Instance:

A place to store the various books of lore, letters, and such (e.g. E’s Correspondence, Collapse of the White Mantle, etc.) that are found all around the world.

I like getting these and reading them, but if I want to keep them, they just end up taking up space in my inventory. It would be great if there were a way to keep them and read them whenever I want, without having to use up inventory to use them.

Mystic Gear Bag

  • A special bag that sits in a single inventory slot inside another bag (like the newly added Living World Portal Tome)
  • Holds 19 items: 6 armor pieces, up to 4 weapons, 5 trinkets, 1 back item, up to 2 aquatic weapons, 1 breather
  • Will not hold any other items of any other type
  • When double-clicked, asks “Do you want to swap your current gear with the gear in this bag?”

Suggestions for obtaining one:

  • With a currency like Unbound Magic + Gold
  • Mystic Forge: 1 20-Slot bag of any type, 5 ea of 3 special currencies from LS3 maps (e.g. Jade Fragments)
  • As a reward for completing a story step
  • Jewel Store

Why? Because it is a drag that I have to use 19 bag slots on a second set of gear if I want to keep one. Major QoL upgrade!

Suggestion - new attribute combination

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

I’ve been playing with builds a little bit in some build editors, and trying to come up with new ideas for support roles in groups. I’ve looked at a couple of things that would be useful as healer builds on classes we don’t usually think of as providing this role, and the builds would be much better if there were something like the following attribute combination:

Major: Healing Power & Condition Damage
Minor: Toughness & Expertise

This attribute combo would allow for builds that can both heal and do a decent amount of condition damage, creating some well-balanced support roles in groups. Maybe Anet has already looked at this, and decided it would make an overpowered support role…not sure…but it sure would improve a few of the builds I’ve considered.

API key problem

I am not sure if this is an issue with GuildWars, or with the GW2Efficiency site, but it occurred immediately following the latest build release, so I am guessing it is a problem with the game.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Use an API Key on https://gw2efficiency.com
2. Click on Account or Community on the main menu of the Efficiency site
3. Observe “API Key Invalid” message
4. Click on “API Keys” in upper right corner of Efficiency site
5. Observe “Valid” message next to API Key

Other steps I have tried to resolve this issue:
1. Set up a new API Key – no effect
2. Restart browser – no effect
3. Restart GW2 – no effect

Also, I asked my guildies, and they say they have the same problem.

Wiki Suggestion - Interactive Map

It would be really cool if it were possible to “full screen” the interactive maps on the Wiki. They’re so small as is that it requires a lot of panning and zooming to use them. Would be great if I could see them bigger and navigate them more like in-game.

Cheers!

Suggestion: Nature crafting discipline

It would be really cool to add more Sylvari type content to the game. Perhaps this could be enabled through a new crafting discipline, such as “Nature.” The crafting discipline could enable new skins by “transforming” existing weapons, armor, trinkets, etc into something in keeping with Sylvari type designs. For example, turn a wand into a cool looking branch with a flame-like flower on the end of it, etc. Basically, it would unlock new skins, and maybe allow for crafting of some special tonics or such.

I see it is part of the list of suggestions you’ve provided, but I wanted to add something to the idea. I really like the idea of a racial glider skin for Sylvari.

Sylvari Glider Skin + Backpack combo

As a backpack, it would place a set of large leaves hanging down the back. When deployed as a glider, the giant leaves would unfurl and become a glider. Alternatively, flower buds as a backpack that “bloom” into a giant flower glider…maybe something like a white egret orchid. Or…something like that. Maybe your designers can come up with a better idea.

As another alternate idea which might look good on any character (not just a Sylvari), I like the idea of a glider/backpack combo that gives the character grasshopper wings – folded when a backpack, and out when gliding, with “buzzing” noise.

Ideally, it would automatically match the skin color choices of the character who wears it, just to make it even better.
