let people on platforms who have already completed help out with other platforms
We tried really hard to get this in. Every solution we came up with had technical constraints.
Just a thought, but would it have been possible to implement something like the Conundrum Cubed portals? For example, after destroying a console it would discharge a ton of electricity like those portals, and touching it would distribute the players card dealer style to platforms that still had those consoles intact.
I wouldn’t expect something like that to be implemented now, but just a bit curious if that idea would’ve worked (or if it was mainly just an issue of not enough time to finalize an idea that was being worked on during the development period).
Anyways, despite some of the issues mentioned here, I’ve felt the fights have been rather enjoyable so far. They’re pretty challenging until you get a strat down, and I’d rather have challenging content over easy content that you could just roll through. =)
Thank you everyone for the offers so far. I’ll be looking into them and see if I can fit in with anyone. =)
(NS+ meaning I’m currently on Northern Shiverpeaks, but am willing to do guesting, possibly transfer if things work out)
Hello, everyone. I’m a returning player located within the CDT [UTC -6] time zone who’s interested in playing again after a long break from GW2. Generally I’ll play during the evenings, though sometimes the morning as well if nothing important is going on. Most people choose to call me either dama or winter, so feel free to do so if you don’t like typing my whole name.
The basics of what I’m searching for:
- casual/laid back group
- doesn’t have to be small, but would rather not join a massive group (150+ members online at the same time)
- mature environment (age requirement isn’t necessary to fulfill this)
- mostly PvE content such as dungeons and monthly updates (doing WvW on occasion is fine)
Current playstyle in GW2
- Mostly dungeon running / world exploration with a little bit of WvW on the side
- Lv80 Asura Engineer
- Typically geared for Bombs / Gernades
- Working towards creating a support build for healing
- Might create a guardian once I’m satisfied with the engineer
Some things about me:
At the moment, I’m just a casual player due to my main priorities being college and work. When there is time to do some gaming, I generally find performing support in teamwork oriented games to be rather enjoyable. As mentioned, I did play GW2 before, but the game kind of burnt out on me since playing on your own in a multiplayer game generally isn’t very enjoyable over a long term period.
My past gaming experience include playing GW2 when it released, a Healing Ritualist in GW1, and as a 25man raid resto druid in WoW before then. Taking part in those raids were probably some of the most memorable times I’ve had with gaming due to the time our guild spent working together both in-game and over voice chat. Thankfully the guild wasn’t one that would cause drama or take part in pointless yelling due to players making mistakes during fights.
Even though I do like working towards acquiring high-end gear, I’ll generally help others gather what they need before working towards my own goals. Unfortunately this has led to some cases where I’ll generally never acquire anything until they become obsolete. XD
The only issue I can think of that others might have an issue with me is that I’m generally a quiet person. Starting conversations and carrying them has never really been my strong suit, though I typically do open up a little after getting to know others. Being a listener is typically more comfortable for me. =/

While I don’t really see the need for it staying in game, I think it would be great for Arenanet to release the music file for it like they did with the christmas music. This way, people that wish to continue listening to it may still do so. =)
