I keep running into intermittent disconnects every 10~20 minutes with an error saying "The game client lost its connection to the server”. And, when this disconnect happens, my entire internet connection drops as well for about 30~60 sec. As far as I can remember, this has been an issue since launch.
I think it’s an issue with the game itself and the game is causing the total internet disconnect. These are some observations to help:
a) other games like League of Legends work fine
b) directly connecting to modem doesn’t help
c) I tried two different routers and still disconnects
d) frequent disconnects even after opening up the 80, 443, 6112, and 6600 ports on router and disabling firewall
e) tried two different computers, and both connections crashed
Anyone have similar issues or solutions? I’ve read some posts on this site and other websites addressing similar issues, so I don’t think it’s just me. ArenaNet, please look into this…
