Hello,

In case additional data can help, here is what happened for me.
-On the 20th, I started raiding 3 hours after the patch hit.
-45 minutes in my group killed sloth, none of us got loot
-After that we killed trio and did get loot
-I personnally did not receive the mail. Some members of my group did, but I believe they also raided on the 21st, so maybe that is why they got it and I did not.

Thanks for your communication! It is really great to have people from Anet regularly updating us and giving details about what happened.

Same here for story mode.
