No You are not. I rolled on floor laughing too.
It is funny to see how anyone is crying when missed something just because of their fault for not beeing online. When offline anyone have many chances to miss something. But if this bad feeling of not having digital item is bigger than having good time on holidays instead then well… Game addiction come to daylight. Game or good holidays is more important? OP should grab himself up from floor and deal with it (anyway he is lucky because those wings will be back soon).

I leveled Thief and Necro hardway to 80. Necro was leveled at start of game and thief one months ago. I learned nothing from leveling them from 1 to 80, but I learned most of them by thinking how class and build works. Learning isn’t tied to playing or leveling class. Learning curve in GW2 is about prethinking Your strategy.

Preleveling class is good. More of a timesaver going than learning “whole” thing.
In GuildWars (from 1 to 2) You always be bad if You just play it and never think about it. Maybe in WoW this rule is right like Darth said but in GuildWars? Nah. You need to think thru it (or follow guides that other write).
