Hello everyone,
We are a bunch of mature players (20+ years of age) who are most active during the SEA prime timezone (9pm – 12am, GMT +8). Most of us are native to the SEA region, but we also count among our ranks several NA players who play during the mornings halfway across the world!
Many of our members are seasoned WvW veterans, who have been fighting on Crystal Desert since launch 3 years ago! We enjoy roaming fights, as well as defending keeps and towers against large-scale assaults in WvW.
More recently, with our Guild Hall claimed, our members have also been exploring the PVE scene, to help one another develop masteries, unlock elite specialisations, and upgrade our Guild Hall!
Come join us and enjoy the new content of HoT together!
~ Stable guild – based on Crystal Desert since launch 3 years ago!
~ Server status permits incoming transfers – If you’re not on Crystal Desert, transferring here is not a problem!
~ International membership – we welcome members from all over the world!
~ Experienced players – we will guide you should you feel lost, whether in PVE or WvW!
If you would like to join us, or ask any questions about us, please whisper or mail (in-game) any of our following members:
Cate the Cute (deweyelephane.1405)
Weishou (weishou.1285)
Rabear (rabear.3102)
Cooltact (tactical.4785)
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and happy gaming!
Hello!
We are a small guild of about 10 players, most of whom reside in the SEA timezone. Many of us have been on our server, Crystal Desert, since launch. As such, we are quite casual with each other and our guild does not operate on a hierarchy. Our guild leaders are more akin to trustees, if you will, than directors.
We do a mix of everything – in the sense that our members each do their own favourite things – rather than that we organise scheduled “guild events” which members are compelled to participate in.
Most of us have the full-suite of professions, and are also seasoned WvW veterans. We are what would generally be termed a “roaming” or “havoc” guild in WvW. Many of us have been playing WvW since launch and, having fought against servers that outnumber us significantly, we have become proficient at:
- winning small-scale outnumbered fights;
- using siege to beat off large-scale enemy assaults; and finally
- knowing when and how to run away from fights we cannot possibly win
We are Forsaken of the Exodus [FXN]. If you have any questions or would like to discuss anything in greater detail, please either drop me an in-game mail, or whisper me when I am online!
In any case, happy hunting for a new home!
Hello, and welcome to Crystal Desert!
What kind of play style do you prefer? The best thing about Crystal Desert is that we have both zerg busting guilds and smaller roaming guilds, unlike certain servers which focus only on a blobbing play style. You will get to use the full array of your weapon skills and utilities, and not be forced by the horrendous lag of being in an 80-man zerg to be unable to do anything but spam auto attack
Spend a few days running in NA primetime and see which players and guilds you like running with before making your decision. This is a game, after all, and we’re all here to have fun. Some of us have fun smashing HOD blobs twice our size, while others have fun ninja-resetting their fully fortified towers and keeps! Pick the one you like, or perhaps even both!
Crystal Desert currently has the strongest SEA coverage of the Free Transfer servers – we have had TOFU and OTD join us, each of them bringing 20-30 active wvwers into the fray. Moreover, about 20 SEA wvwers did not move with KoMe to HoD, but stayed with their friends in Crystal Desert. TIME guild has also recruited many individual SEA transfers too.
Right now, Crystal Desert is looking for more Oceanic and EU players/guilds primarily, but, if you are an SEA wvwer, you’re welcome to join us!
How many SG are still on CD?
I’m from Singapore and I would estimate that Crystal Desert can field at least 50 WvW players during SEA primetime, mainly a mix of Singaporeans and Malaysians in KOME, HAX and RI guilds. These players are mostly veterans and have been with Crystal Desert since launch. We’re also expecting to receive some individual transfers from fellow SEAers, so our position will only get stronger.
Crystal Desert currently has the strongest SEA coverage in our current matchup, by a very wide margin. If you review the historical data, you’ll see that our PPT always rises to very high levels during SEA and Oceanic primetime.
