This is something I wanted for a long time. With an amulett system people would be forced to make proper decisions and it would remove the extremely tanky/condiheavy playstyle that is in fashion atm. Players would need to choose damage output over sustain, support capability over damage output etc etc. Celestial gear in wvw atm really has no downsides. Balance patches every 3 months and the ability to change build at will would be an interesting theorycraft-exercise.
Just to be clear im not advocating that the current amulets available in pvp should be implemented in wvw without modifications. The amulets need to be tailored to fit the game-mode. But in general this is a good solid idea to make wvw more about class and combat mechanics over gear and stat combos.
I ran the build that you played in unity tournament frosty, that one is alot better vs mesmer in particular. Good theorycrafting xD
I will definatly try to find a decent mesmer to 1v1 with. Atm im stuck in lower plat 1500-1600 rating and need to become alot more solid in this frequent matchup. Keeping the node vs mesmer would mean alot to score in many games.
I sometimes have issues fighting good chronomancers 1v1 on sidenodes (sage amulett condibuild). Any tips how to win this matchup?
I would also like the wvw devs to tell us something about this. Alot of people just want some response what they are planning and what to expect in the future. They must be aware of the largely negative opinion among wvw players since the launch of the new maps.
I feel that the community doesn’t embrace the new maps at all. The alpines felt a bit old towards the end, having played them for 3 years. But in comparison with the new ones I would gladly have them back.
Is there any chance that the alpine maps will ever come back for at least a limited time?
I only have 2 points to make
1. Redo stability. WvW fights take too long and is usually just a passive standoff around a choke. Stability needs a buff asap.
2. Please get the old borderland maps back. These new ones are beautiful but doesnt fit the expectations from the majority of the community.
I have 6000 hours in wvw and its so sad to see how patch after patch just reduces the incentives to play
