As you’re all aware, P/V/T trinkets are now easily available for karma. Most people who have been running bunker builds thus far have been using Sapphire jewelry. Do you think that Sapphire is still the better option for survivability? Or would P/V/T pieces in those slots be superior? This is assuming P/V/T armor as well.
I’d appreciate any thoughts / comments / explanations.
If you’re having trouble in tPvP watch Phantaram play a few rounds and take note of what he does in various situations. He’s one of the most solid Ele players I’ve found and he streams/uploads vods to his twitch account. Now he definitely has very good teammates helping him out, but he also does really well in 1v1s from what I’ve seen. While you’re watching remember that the game is balanced around what high level players like this can do.
I’m partial to spamming all my skills in one attunement, then switching to the next to continue the cycle.
Yeehaw Conjure buffs! Man, I can’t wait to still not use them. This patch nerfed our best (only good?) Grandmaster trait into the ground. Other than the sorely needed RTL fix nothing good has come out of it. While I wasn’t expecting any massive buffs, I certainly wasn’t expecting one of our only viable specs to be nerfed so harshly.
I’m kind of curious about this as well. It seems to me that condition is not really worth it with staff. Scepter/dagger would benefit from it much more. I’m currently running a mix of Valkyrie/Knights with the same build you’re looking at (which does seem to be our best dungeon build). 1600~ Vit, 1300~ toughness, 1300~ prec, and 1800+ power. I’m going for the Power/Toughness/Vitality gear at the moment but it almost doesn’t seem necessary as I have a lot of survivability as it is. I currently put out a reasonable amount of damage and have tons of support options. I really don’t see how condition would benefit this build much at all (though I could be wrong of course). My heals also seem sufficient with just the stats from Water and none on my gear, though I haven’t played around with it much.
This thread is an excellent read and might help you come to a better conclusion: http://www.guildwars2guru.com/topic/64113-condition-damage-vs-critical-damage/page__st__30
I’d still be interested in hearing from more players on the topic though.
Similar to a D/D build I’ve played around with. However, why not put 10 in Earth for Elemental Shielding (taken from Water) and switch out Pyromancer’s Alacrity for Spell Slinger? Bit more synergy that way especially since you’ve gone all cantrips. Also fun with +boon duration runes.
So I’m about to start working on my exotic set, and I’m wondering what stats everyone else is focusing on. I’m mainly interested in being as effective as possible in dungeons. Having tried out all of the weapon combinations I still find that I enjoy the playstyle of scepter/dagger the most, so I think I’ll be sticking with it.
Currently I’m torn between the Carrion set and a mix of Knight/Valkyrie. I’ve been doing well stacking bleeds/burn with a 30/30/10 (fire/earth/water) build, but I’m not sure if this is the best way to play it. How is precision/crit faring vs condition in endgame PvE?
Basically looking for opinions from people who have been doing well in explorables with s/d. What do your stats look like / which route did you take? Which set/accessory combination are you using?
