Thought I would share some success.

Been plagued by this error since the outset, intermittent DCs, sometimes get an hour play, sometimes cannot log in at all.

I haven’t had an error 7 for about a week now. 2 solutions worked for me. I cannot claim to understand why these work – but they seem to have done so far.

First – I moved the wireless USB adapter I was using from the back of the PC to a slot at the front. No more error 7s.

So then I bought a new USB wireless adapter and plugged it into the back again – still no error 7s.

And yes – if I plug my old adapter into the back, error 7s reappear.

I am wondering if it is something maybe to do with USB 1 and 2 – and perhaps my wifi adapter was generating some sort of conflict? Dunno.

Either way – I am happy – and the issue seems to have been resolved. Try it – might work for you too?

Thanks for posting the “try streaming something else” thingy – unfortunately epic fail here. Hope it works for others….

Unplayable again tonite its after 10pm UK – surely not peak…

Very sad – either cannot log in at all today or once in cannot get off a single skill before error 7… I am on a European server and been trying all through the morning till now 2pm – surely cannot be a peak load issue?

Same as lots on here – tried everything suggested (bar full reinstall… TheodoreSMooth – do pls keep us up to date if you have actually found a way around that lasts…)

I don’t know if this helps diagnosis at all – but something a little odd just happened. I have been tearing my hair out with pretty much instantaneous DCs for the last hour since trying to play – logged in again and went and made a drink, fully expecting to be logged out by the time I cam back. Well I wasn’t? I must have left it 10 minutes or so – longest I have been logged in so far today – but as soon as I started to move – I got the 10 seconds of doom when you can wander round but not fire a skill before Error 7 DC. Thought it was odd that it stayed logged in while I did nothing?

Oh dear – problem seems to be getting worse for me. 3 days ago started, was DCing about every 20 mins, mostly 10 mins yesterday – today – I can get off 2 skills

This afternoon had the longest time without disconn for about a week – had fun. Tonite… pants again. Log in OK – but instantly laggy, and 10 seconds later error 7

Same issue, same error. No matter seemingly what time of day I play, what I am doing or where in game, I get between 5sec and 20 min game time before losing connection

Similar thing happened to me at Diablo 3 at start as well until a patch 2 weeks post live sorted it out and proved it wasn’t my firewall/antivirus/ports/ISP/backbone issue…

Loving this game more than D3 – so really hoping for a fix soon as getting quite frustrated right now
