It looks to me that the connection to gw2 EU data center is routed from your country —> US-→Europe for some odd reason. So obviously this adds a noticeable overhead. Any one else noticed this?

Hey there ! I’m playing from Sri Lanka, and was wondering the same about the latency being the same for both regions. It seems that we’re routed through US data center regardless of the server region we’re playing. I’m on server gates of madness with a couple of friends. So add me if you’d like, perhaps we could try find a way around the time zone dilemma

Ability to tone down the excessive amount of particle effects(quite annoying as melee).

For someone who didn’t know that you could give a last name to your character at the start, I fully agree
