I like the vista challenges on the whole. They’re great and if I get really stuck, there’s always YouTube.

What I don’t like though are the Vista challenges e.g. The Mire Sea in Mount Maelstrom and some of the others in Dredgehaunt Cliffs. Not because they’re tricky to find or hard to jump to etc nor even because they can be in general fiddly.

Simply because I’ve now been knocked off the scaffolding 5 times already today when trying to get up the Mire Sea scaffolding. If this wasn’t bad enough, I’ve actually been killed by falling off the scaffolding in a mines vista by the fall alone. Now if I’m stupid, or if I can fight elsewhere, or don’t avoid fighting where it’s possible or simply don’t make the jump, I don’t mind.

But to try and climb all the way to the top, just to be repeatedly knocked off the whole kitten thing by mobs which there are no ways to avoid as a Guardian… or elementalist just to plummet to my doom is &*^%$£ irritating. I wouldn’t mind if it happened occasionally but so far every single mob has knocked me down. Where I can I fight in sensible spots, in the middle of platforms rather than on the edge etc…

If I’ve made it that far, solo… give me a break… please?

Forgive me for bringing up an indelicate matter but er, this effect is quite pronounced!

The issue is the pants. The cut doesn’t bother me so much as the er glowing crotch. I’m seriously not trolling here. The panties are supposed to be the same colour as the sash. This isn’t the sylvari’s normal waxing and waning glow, this is a solid block of colour. In the Hero screen the colour previews correctly but on my character, the effect is so noticeable that it draws your eye. My character was wearing dark shades of red but the underwear comes out scarlet so I’ve amended. I think that the panties are a more solid block of colour and so they tend to stand out. Is there anyway the effect could be toned down? It’s not an enormous deal, just a weird one but I’ve had every joke thrown at me and I’m looking for new pants I don’t mind that she’s baring a little leg but she seems to have a neon crotch!

Actually I had no idea what the glow was or how it worked. Although it is possible to preview it, when you’re new to the game it’s not particularly intuitive. I don’t mind what I ended up with but had it been clearer I would have made more of it. I had no idea Sylvari COULD glow and so when it mentioned glow I didn’t really get wth it was talking about.
