Guild Wars 2

What I would like to write: Programs that allow players to display additional information about themselves and to display such information about other playes, preferably about the selected player/target.

For this, I would very much welcome:

• The target/player currently selected by my own character

Name and server of the selected player/target would already suffice for this.

When you register – for example – with Guild Wars 2 with “mail+gw2@example.com” and with Google with “mail+goog@example.com” and Google gets hacked it is way harder for the hackers to automate getting into your account, because they can’t simply try “mail@example.com” with every service and website they know of.

A few things to keep in mind, though:

• Some sites don’t accept email addresses containing ‘+’ or similar characters, even though they are valid.
• Others seemingly accept them but truncate or filter the ‘+’ out (sometimes without telling you), so your “mail+goog@example.com” becomes “mailgoog@example.com”, which then leaves you wondering why you just can’t login with the email you just registered with. (Worst case: “mailgoog@example.com” exists, too, and now some stranger has the capability to take over your new account.)
• Don’t just add the site name to your address if you’re paranoid, because “email+guildwars2.com@gmail.com” is not that much harder to guess or to automate against on a large scale for at least a variety of popular sites.

Hi all -

if I didn’t miss anything, there are no forums for specific worlds.

Having world-specific subforums would help to strengthen the community; quite a few topics are world-specific, not global in nature.

Additionally I would welcome one for roleplayers and roleplay-related discussion.

For both of those there probably are third-party communities and platforms, but I feel both of them should have a central place in the official community.

And I don’t feel like the race-specific subforums offer that much use for the cost, because after an (admittedly brief) look over the existing topics in them, most of those would better fit or belong in either:
- General discussion / Players Helping Players
- Lore discussion
- Fan-generated Content
- or Suggestions

So, to summarize, my wishes or suggestions for the Forum would be (TL;DR):

1. Get rid off the race forums
   (or at least combine them into a single forum for discussion of races)
2. Add world forums
3. Add a roleplay-centric forum for discussion not suitable for the Lore forum

to
Guild Wars 2 > Forums > forum > Forum and Website Bugs > New Topic

The bolded part gets inserted in the middle, which looks bugged.
