Yep, and I get the short “update” to download fine after doing that. Seems to be when it tries to login with correct password.
Have pulled Applications Support folder, plist, reset SMC/NVRAM, ran terminal repair, and repaired disc permissions all to no avail.
When my wife wakes up I’m going to try to login on PC and see what happens there.
When this happens to me, I command-tab, open system preferences, go to Mouse, uncheck the “Scroll Direction” box, recheck and go back into the game. Don’t have any issues for a month or so.
I got the terminal command to run fine. Reset SMC/NVRAM and repaired disc permissions.
I can now get to the login screen, when I try to log in just get circle going around for 2-3 minutes then same “serious error” message.
If I deliberately put in incorrect password, I get the “wrong password” box and it does not freeze up.
Tried pulling data folder and plist, just get login screen that spins and then pops error.
I must not be getting something right, this is what comes from the terminal command:

Test in new user account, opened start page and downloaded small update. Then wheel spins on login and same error box as above pops up after 2-3 minutes.
Running 10.9.3, 21.5’’ iMac Mid-2011, 2.8GHz Intel Core i7, 8GB RAM
Trying to get on this morning and everything locked up. Rainbow wheel for 2-3 minutes and then is error message. Complete restart, no change.
I was just downloading the new patch on my Mac (OS X 10.8.5), the power went out in my home and when I rebooted it GW2 will not open past a blank white screen (loading screen w/out any indication of loading).
I think it was just about at the end of the first part of the download (the quick part), not into the heavy downloading yet.
Am I going to have to reinstall the whole thing? Or is there a way to restart the download somewhere (I’m on a data cap and it’s a pretty big chunk to redownload all at once)?
just in case anyone else was wondering it was ~207Mb
Just wondering how much data I’m going to have to download for the newest patch on my iMac?
beat him on the 2nd try……..??? just use boast when he critiques, didn’t seam hard. has a worse time with the char.
