I’m ok with my account name, and it’s ok for me to not change it. If i block a certain player, i don’t want that he evades somehow my block. What i don’t really like is to display that to other players. I mean, if i’m playing with Randomcharactername, i want they can clearly see it that name, and don’t call me with my account name.
If i’m in a random group, the first name displayed is my account name, instead of the character name! It’s ok for me if other players want to know my acco name, but i want that the first name they see, is my character name.
Also I’d like that my account’s name could be visible only by my friends (in Friend list)… maybe guild members too, maybe…
Sorry for the bump
Translating a game takes time and a rather large amount of money (especially since it would most likely also require voiced lines to be translated), and as such spending said money (and hiring new employees for that very purpose (since they release new stuff all the time they would need constant translations)) might not really be valid unless they can guarantee that they will earn more than it will cost.
Which is extremely unlikely.Even if the italian population of GW2 would double, that is most likely still not enough money to actually earn more than it would cost.
I don’t really agree with this. Personally speaking, my friends left this game and joined WoW (and other mmos) due to the language. I don’t think that translatin’ only subtitles and items would have that great cost (and there’s a whole italian community that would do that for FREE). I love Gw2 and i can understand a few of the english language, but sometimes, when i see my friends in dungeons in their mmos, i really envy them when npcs can be fully understood.
Think of yourself playing a beautiful game (awesome graphics, mechanics etc) in Korean. Even if it’s the best game in the world, i think that u would leave it after a week or 2 for another game (inferior) with a language that u can easily understand.
Sorry if i bump this topic, but i think that this argument deserves more attention.
