Guild Wars 2

Hi there,

I bought GW2 right before release and managed to get a Guardian to 39 before I eventually just got caught up in life and couldn’t make time for it anymore. I’m coming back into the game now as I’m continuing to realize how awesome it is, and looking for an active guild.

Essentially I’m pretty new to the game honestly. I’ve got a 29 Thief, 41 Guardian (added a couple levels on the guy) and a few other “alts”. I’ve barely scratched the surface with gear itemization, crafting and other game systems and have been focused on the PvE aspect mostly, though I’m looking to join some people in exploring other aspects of the game.

My play style used to be pretty hard core back in other MMOs but these days I’m fairly mellow – I’d call myself “casualcore”. In my WoW days I wasn’t the guy that showed up to every raid, but I was at, or darn near, the top of whatever chart was appropriate when I did.

All I’m looking for in a guild are some fun people who get snarky humor, don’t mind teaching somebody who can catch on relatively quick and who’d like to run some dungeons at times.

In terms of the game, honestly I consider myself a noob here. Of course I get the combat system for the most part, but I do need more practice with it and a better intro to some of the game’s mechanics. I haven’t been around for any of the real advancements made since release though; so for example, guesting, the living story, and all that stuff – basically every major feature that’s come out since release – are completely new to me.

I’m currently on Blackgate but not necessarily opposed to a transfer, though I’d like to try to find a good fit where I am first since transfers do cost money.
