Superior Rune of the Ranger ?

Hello guys, I’m thinking about getting these runes for my Ranger but I wonder how the last bonus works. Can someone explain me, the companion needs to be alive for me to receive the 5% additional damage? Because it is need to be alive to receive the bonus, these Runes are not the best option for WvW because the pet dies so easy.

Any other suggestions would be nice, I currently want to build pwr/pre/crit dmg ranger.

Sorry for my english.

I fixed this error, one of my stick of ram was damaged. I run memtest for each ram and I found that one was not working well with 5354 errors in 5 seconds.

Why my game started to download again ?

Hello, I have been crashing every 1 hr and I’m still can’t find the reason. I opened the client to play and a window with the Dragonbrand logo appear with a repairing bar. When the bar reached 50% of progress, the game started to download again from 0%. Can someone explain me what its happening ?

Thanks

Hello its me again, 2 days before I said that I’ve fixed the frequently errors that I was having. Today I updated my bios and my SSD firmware and I decided to move the game back to the drive. I’m not having problems at the moment. For these of you running the game in a SSD always check that your drive firmware is updated, maybe that could help a little bit.

[Copied from another thread]

For those who are encountering this issue, here’s what would be super helpful:

Run a memory diagnostic such as MemTest86 (make sure it’s thorough; some memory-errors are fleeting and require sustained use or special conditions).

If the memory diagnostic shows errors, post here saying so! After that, I suggest contacting your manufacturer. = )

If no errors are found, then please open the “Guild Wars 2” folder inside of your Documents folder. You should see one or many files with names similar to “Corrupt-ab48d7ad.dat”. Attach some of those to a post here; if you have many, just pick a few. Also, please attach the file “CorruptArchive.log”, which will be in that same folder.

There’s a good chance that there’ll be too many responses for me to personally examine all of the files, so I apologize in advance if I don’t personally respond to your post. = (

Also, I have no reason to believe this problem would be related to graphics cards/drivers.

Do you think it could be a problem with some HDDs or SSDs ? Like I said before, I moved the folder from my Corsair Force GT “SSD” to my 500GB “HDD” and I have not received any error yet. But I was having problems and errors every 15 minutes when I was running the game from my SSD.

Womp…Move your game to a different HD if you have one available and see if your issue is resolved. FCV seems to have resolved the problem in this manner.

No errors yet

Good News !!! I moved the game folder to my HDD from my SSD and everything seems to be running perfect. I have been playing like 3 hours and I haven’t get any error so far. The reason of the crash could be that the game don’t run well in SSDs.

I’ve got the same issue as well, same crash error. Running a Radeon 6870 and have the game installed on a Crucial M4 SSD. Drive integrity is fine and have other games installed to the same drive with no crash issues.

Hello, I’m using the Corsair Force GT and I have others game installed in it and I play them without problems. Can you move your GW 2 Folder to your secondary disk “if you have one” and tells us if that fix your problem.

I’m going to try to reinstall tomorrow. My repair didn’t even verify properly and came with the message: CRC failed. Also running it on an SSD, which is the only thing I haven’t changed yet hah.

So you have the game installed in a SSD like me and we both have the same problem. I didn’t have this problem when I was running it in my HDD “Secondary Disk”. So I’m going to change it to the HDD again and I’ll tell you If that fix the problem.

Hi fcv– This is beginning to sound like it could be more of a hardware related issue. There’s an application that I find to be incredibly helpful for checking out your system hardware called Speccy. Speccy also shows you memory timings, system temperature, driver dates, etc. That being said, if you choose to install this application I’d really like to see the results so we can track down what the cause of this issue might be.

To install and run Speccy, please use the following instructions:

1. Download Speccy from this link: http://download.piriform.com/spsetup114.exe

2. Once downloaded, double click “spsetup114.exe” to start the installation process.

3. Once completed, double click the “Speccy” icon on your desktop.

4. Once loaded, please click “File” then “Save Snapshot.”
a. Note: If this option is grayed out, Speccy is still gathering the required information. Allow it a few moments to complete this process.

5. Save this file to your desktop. From there you should be able to attach the report to the ticket as you have with the Game Advisor report.

I followed every step but I noticed that when my anti-virus “AVG free edition” is on, the app don’t respond. So I turned it off and now Speccy runs perfect. Do you think AVG could be the reason of my problem ?

I added the text file of speccy because I can’t add the snapshot. Thanks for your support.

Hi fcv – Could you please attach a Game Advisor report to this thread so that we could further investigate this issue?

You can find the Game Advisor report at the link below (when you click it you will be automatically prompted to save the application):
http://us.ncsoft.com/gameadvisor/

I attached the report, I hope you learn something that can help me solve this problem. Thanks for helping me.

Check if there are any errors with your memory (ram). I had similar issues with the beta client awhile back and ran memtest and found out that I had some errors with my ram, I underclocked my ram and the problem went away but, doing this might not work for everyone. http://www.memtest.org/

I’m going to run it and I’ll tell you if I have an error. Thanks for your support.
