So, uh, hi! Thanks for stopping by. Outside of GW2 I really like to create stuff with my own two hands, so about two years ago, shortly after getting hooked on GW2 by some friends, I’ve decided to return the favor and so for Christmas they got some coasters I made with perler beards. They’re an excellent material for pixellated stuff, and everyone can use a coaster. Unfortunately, back then, I never thought of posting those to this forum (mostly cause I didn’t know it existed in the first place), so the quality of the pictures is kinda meh (sorry ;_;).

I later on did a second set (see 2nd pic) where I had adjusted the odd detail. Also, being a huge fan of the adorable quaggans, I went and made myself some quaggan coasters. (I for one welcome our future amphibian overlords. You’ll see, eventually.)

Last pic is something I’ve only recently completed. A dear friend and guild mate who in our circles mostly goes by his alias “Caow” (basically originating from cow) had his birthday coming up, and in a late-night onset of madness I came up with this idea…

TL; DR: I made cool coasters out of perler beads.

Honestly, I had a toon camped out there and completed each of the Hablion preevents and the regular event afterwards. I tried flying, I tried being on the ground, I cc-ed, I whatevered. Thing is, I did exactly the same thing after changing to my Elementalist, and suddenly it popped on the first try – on 3 different collection items that I just couldn’t get before. Ofc, there’s always a remote chance that that might have been a coincidence, but after trying for hours getting it first try on another character seems a bit too much to just be an odd coincidence.

I’ve been trying to complete some of the Aurora achievements ([Map] Hero), and, like some others, seemed to have severe issues getting some of the drops. I did a whopping 13 Hablions on my thief, cause that char didn’t have Bloodstone Fen map completion yet and I thought of doing that in one blow. After ending up rather annoyed and contemplating writing a furious forum post, I did one last thing™ and switched character to my main, where I got the item on my first try. This wasn’t limited to the Hablion item, same thing happened with Vermingus (7th try, 1st after swapping), too, and I strongly suspect with some other items I haven’t received where others got them on the first try. No idea what might be going on there, but it’s severely unnerving and I’ve heard from others in mapchat that they had similar issues. Would be great if you could look into that (or, if necessary, specify that the char needs map completion or story completion or whatever).
