Conditions and stacks

Hey all. I was thinking today and i don’t know if this idea has been suggested before, but why don’t stacks of conditions indicate sources instead of aplications?
Take bleed for example: world event or dungeon, a sigle engineer can easily reach the 25 stacks of bleed, making others condition damagers kind of useless, even if they have a higher condition damage than the engineer. But imagine if the bleed condition changes to be a fast dot damager, ticking 2 or 3 times per second, increasing the duration each time an especific source applies it. You could have 5 sources, 5 stacks, dealing diferent amounts of damage per bleed. Would be OP in some cases? yes, but at the same time, it would promote the use of other types of equipment ingame.
Think of WvW or SPVP: no longer full berserker would be the go to spec, considering you could be facing several stacks of a condition from diferent sources, diferent players, that would require for some vitality if you don’t want to be dead in a matter of seconds. With this change, cleric would become much more useful and even magi (the most useless armor spec ingame) could play a role in crit builds. Imagine a zerg of 20 ppl, with 10 of them causing 10 stacks of bleed with diferent durations. Or think of a 2v1 fight of a necro and engineer vs warrior. No longer would that berserker warrior just jump in to kill both, since it could be afected by 2 sources, 2 stacks of bleed and burning of maybe hard dealing dps with conditions (yes burning should stack like bleed and not just increase duration of the condition since in the end its just a slow hard hitting dot). What do you guys and gals think?

TL:DR stacks sould indicate sources (players and mobs) and not amounts of applications made to the target by particular skills.

Sudden FPS drop.

Has a solution been found? i have the exact same trouble. I have a HD8970 2 gigs and can’t play the game. I just upgraded my drivers today to see if that would fix the issue, but it didn’t. Could it be that the issue is caused because i installed Win 8.1 last week?. Hope you guys release a fix patch soon.

Shatterstone skill bugged

I like to report that the shatterstone skill in the water elementalist set of scepter is not working at the moment during combat.

If it is casted before entering combat, it works, but if it is casted during the battle, even is the auto-attack is stopped, it doesn’t.

I sincerely hope you guys can fix this issue soon.

Thx.

Difficulty and the Casual Player

I agree, the game in some parts: events, areas and dungeons is becoming to hard for the normal player to handle.

And the funny thing is, the “hardcore” crowd, who is usually the most vocal one, are the ones to blame for it.

Thanks to them, kraits are incredibly difficult to kill now, AC it’s to hard to do, and the temple events don’t even get done now.

So please, stop the whinning, because you’re ruining the game for us, the non-hardcore crowd.

Elitism is ruining this game

Just give the elitists an achievement and a title an be done with the subject. Because that’s all they really want, to show that they are harcore gamers that can do things 95% of the population won’t be able to do.

But please, stop with the “OMG content so easy!” attitude, because you’re breaking the game for us non-hardcore population.

It’s thanks to ppl like you, whining constantly about the difficulty, that we can barelly do AC anymore, or even the temple events, since they raised the bar on difficulty to much for the average population

Give them a legendary run of the dungeons and let them feel special, but please, by the love of Dwayna, stop asking for a harder dificulty, because you’re ruining the game for us, non-hardcore player.

Hello forum dwellers. I come asking for your wisdom on builds and gear for my thief. I currently play a 0/30/10/30/0 thief, with full rampage armor and berserker accesories, but i’m thinking of changing my build. I use d/p and sb as my weapons, and the reasoning behind my actual set up is this: good crit chance, with decent crit damage, good movility and overall cond dmg. I used to play my thief full berserker gear, but my survival in dungeons was very low (1 or 2 hits of the boss, 1 mistake, and i was dead). So i changed my armor to rampager, for more crit chance and better cond dmg. I also changed my build from 25/30/0/0/15 to 0/30/10/30/0 for a little more hp, better mobility and deception skills support.
Now the thing is, i’m thinking of changing my gear for something with more survival. First, i though that maybe i could get cond dmg/prec/toughness, without changing my set of berserker rings and earrings, so i could still do some decent dmg with crits, but increasing my survival, and still using my 0/30/10/30/0 build. But now, i’m thinking, maybe its better to change all my gear and go for full cleric armor and carrion accesories using a 20/0/30/20/0 venom share and leeching.
Hence, my conundrum. What do you guys and gals recommend? which one is a better option?
Thanks in advance for your imputs.
