Got same problem as Kay and I tought that my mouse is breaking but everywhere else its working pretty well. Maybe it has something to do with mouse type and its software ? My mouse model: Cyborg RAT 7
Just find nearly full server and join or get into empty one and wait. Thats it.

This part is the hardest one. However its not impossible. I would even say that this is the easiest path for AC exp.
First of all you need someone to tank the damage (or at least get focused by ghosts :P) and someone to CC ghosts which are attacking Detha. You should also decide which type of ghost deals most of the damage to your team and kill them first. My guild priorities:
1. Rangers
2. Elementalists
3. Warriors (We got pretty squishy team)
4. Monks (spawn on last gun and heal others so use poison)
5. Necromancers (avoid their AoE and melee shall bring some stun breaks)
6. Mesmers (they do anything but shields?)
Good strategy is to gather them into group so your AoE will bring them all down. If Detha dies dont revive her becuase more mobs will spawn and she wont be repairing the guns. Revive her after you kill all mobs.
Pro tip: on last gun protect her as long as you can because if she manages to repair whole gun ghosts will disappear.
Herionz is right, I bought ghastly shield but it had just its daily skin all the time (I checked it on few day/night cycles and in different locations). Then I decided to transmute this skin into shield for my level (78) and I went into eternal battlegrounds. After I died few times my skin started working properly (O.o). So this isn’t transmutation issue but skin issue.
