Ah, you guys must’ve been in the same instance as me. Yea, we detonated the 2nd set of charges, and as I’m resurrecting a downed player, I get kicked off. So far, everyone I’ve messaged, and those who messaged me who were in that overflow, were kicked off at the same time. Have yet to find someone who wasn’t kicked off…it’s frustrating, especially since we spent so much time just getting that kraka down to its last 5% health.

Normally, you can’t talk to players from opposing servers while in WvW. Just found out today that there’s a way around that by clicking and reporting the character. The player’s username (xxxx.9999) shows up in the report, and using that information, players from opposing servers can private message each other.
If possible, could there be a way to report players without having the player’s username show up? Reason I ask is that it seems like a lot of people either like to whine how they died to another player, or to gloat to and/or belittle players they defeat. I’ve killed/been killed plenty of times in WvW, but the only people I care to talk to are those in my guild, server, and friends list.
Not trying to whine about it, just saying that I wanna enjoy my time in WvW rather than being verbally griefed by players I’ve defeated or “I-killed-you-and-now-I’m-also-gonna-insult-you” players.
Just wanted to say, SoR’s battle tactics are amazing. I’m in SoS, and this past week against SoR has been anything but easy. They are literally EVERYWHERE, when and where you least expect them to be. Even zerg fights found us on the losing side a couple of times. So hats off to you, SoR…really gave us a run for our money.
How long were u in stealth when the next group of mobs showed up?
You can get a max of 10 seconds of stealth inside shadow refuge as long as you don’t move (usually it cuts it down to 2 seconds if I start moving), but for some reason, once you get to about 6 seconds of stealth left, monsters can “see” you, even if you’re still stealthed.
I’m thinking it has to do with thieves supposedly only being able to get a max of 4 seconds of stealth, 3 if not traited for it. So even if you are stealthed for 10 seconds in shadow refuge, after the 3-4 seconds of stealth, mobs automatically know you’re there.
If it’s a bug, hopefully it gets fixed. Either fix shadow refuge to provide only the actual amount of stealth, or keep the max of 10 seconds in shadow refuge as long as we don’t move. Personally, I wouldn’t mind not moving for 10 seconds of stealth…saved my butt a few times =P
Found this piece of cloth covering just the eyes very interesting. Anyone have a name for it?

I run D/D and SB in WvW. I only use D/D when I’m fighting small skirmishes, but as far as large groups and zerging goes, I use my bow. However, when using my bow, I feel more like I’m complimenting the damage other classes do, and feel more like I’m in a supporting role. I could go with a condition build, and just spam Death Blossom to rack up some major damage, but it takes 10 seconds for the full damage to be dealt, and usually the conditions I throw down get cleansed in about 3 seconds, so even with the damage potential it has, it’s not viable as an aoe damage skill.
Shortbow’s best damage skill would be cluster bomb, but like the above poster said, it has a large travel range before it connects, and usually by the time it’s halfway through the air, enemies have already seen it, can determine where it’ll land, and easily dodge the projectile.
However, I feel with the way thieves are set up, this isn’t too bad. Our class is built more for 1v1, and I think that it’s a decent tradeoff to have less damage output when fighting large groups of enemies at a time. And to top it off, we’re the best class when it comes to chasing, and escaping. So what we lack in group damage, we more than make up for with mobility and 1v1 damage potential.
Tried CoE Submarine path, and for the second time, this boss has decided to get itself bugged and not get knocked down and lose his armor buff. He’ll get knocked down maybe once or twice, but soon after that, he completely seems to just circle around the electric column hitbox instead of actually making contact with it. I’m hoping ANet puts out a fix for this very soon. I’m happy that they’re coming out with patches to fix exploits and all, but it gets frustrating when you see all these patches coming out specifically for dungeon exploits and hardly any for dungeon bugs.
So please, ANet, get this fixed soon. It’s hard enough to find a group to run this dungeon. We don’t need it to be impossible to run too.
I try and do CoE, but it’s really hard to find a group. Anyone who wants to run CoE, add me to your buddy list…got 1 piece of armor, still need the other 5.
If anyone’s up to do all 3, I’m definitely game for that!
