But christmas thing unlocks a collection. would they really keep a collection there without giving you the ability to finish it?
I’m not too worried about the collection, honestly. I did my personal collection of ornaments in less than an hour, so if they keep Grawnk for the Monday reset, meaning the collection will also be possible until the patch, then all should be well.
Yeah, I guess I’m just worried about that third reset required. I couldn’t get him in before today’s reset, so now I’m just worried about the Monday evening reset completely invalidating things.
Thanks for the answers. Guess it’ll just depend on what Monday night brings.
So… does that make obtaining the ornaments impossible or not? I’m not really worried about Achievements.
EDIT: Just saw your edit, sorry.
So… guess I can either pray, or get some notice from ArenaNet. Prayer is probably more likely.
So then we have tonight, Sunday night, and then Monday night to get the third recipe for Grawnk before the patch hits Tuesday?
I know this is likely one of the most repeated questions, but in my (admittedly brief) glance through the forums, I can’t find a topic specifically about it.
I know that Wintersday ends “January 13”. Normally, I’d assume that means the patch time (for CST, that’s 6-7 PM) on that day, but for some reason my paranoid memory makes me think it’s usually the day before. Considering the three-day Grawnk requirement for the Star of Gratitude (trying to drag my friend back for this event, no reason if he can’t get it), I wanted to be absolutely sure:
Does Wintersday end January 13, 6-7 PM CST
or January 12, 6-7 PM CST?
Sorry for the too-commonly-repeated question
Sorry for the second post, just giving an update.
My friend and I are gonna just keep going through the story tonight, so I’ve basically accepted that I’m screwed out of the mission. It’s been months since I did the personal story, so I’d forgotten that this was apparently a risk (or didn’t know, either way). I’ll just choose the Apatia line with a different character later, unless the higher-ups manage to figure something out (though, from Foefaller’s response, I’d wager it’s out of their hands).
If I could give a suggestion, though, would it be possible to add in a warning window when provided the choice to “progress” after a mission? Like a second box that warns the player the quest they’re about to progress to isn’t originally in their tree. Not everyone knows the mission names—had I known the difference, I never would have even considered pressing the button to progress. Maybe I’m just a fool, but I doubt I’m the lone fool.
Regardless of this bump in the road, I still want to thank ArenaNet for the amazing experience overall! Keep up the good work.
Really? That… that kind of sucks. And doesn’t really make sense? Story-wise, I mean. Why would my character suddenly jump from needing to rescue an ally to confronting some stranger he’s never even heard of?
I really hope the higher-ups can throw me a bone here. I’d gladly lose the experience and the gloves—I’ll even do Fort Trinity over again if I have to.
I was playing with a friend, and we both did Fort Trinity. When it completed, I said “Progress to Delivering Justice” instead of choosing to do Fort Trinity over again—except I didn’t realize Delivering Justice was the name of my friend’s mission branch, not mine. Too late did I find out my next mission should have been “Liberating Apatia”, and now it seems I’m stuck on my friend’s branch instead?
Is there ANY WAY to get me back on my chosen branch? I know I can just play through the game on another character, but I’d really rather keep this character on the branch I chose.
Please, please, please at least make it an option! It was much loved by me and everyone I play with! Honestly, some times I’d just load it up and leave it as a background…
