Post a ticket on the winauth github page.

If you remove your password and don’t use any other encryption (like “this user” or “this computer”, then your authenticator secret keys are visible in the file. You really don’t want this.

I suggest you use password/encryption and also take a backup of the secret keys (right click the authenticator) and write them down somewhere safe.

No! I do not want your broken SMS WinAuth!

I downloaded the WinAuth malware (no better word for it) when it was released. I was in and out of the game several times and no problem… until I restarted my PC.

At this point it refused to let me log in and I had to contact support to get the broken junk deactivated.

You need to download WinAuth from the official website. Getting it from some other place is going to cause problems. It is not malware and the current executable does not scan with any threats (including AVG 10.0.1405 – make sure your scanner is also up to date).

Restarting your PC wouldn’t cause a problem unless you hadn’t actually save the authenticator key. You are problem to enter a password and save it. In any case you should also write down the secret key as your own personal backup.

If you mean the PC version… see above. Because it is buggy and gets detected as malware.

WinAuth is open-source so you can build it yourself. Ensure you only download the binaries from the proper website, as unfortunately I can’t do anything if someone else compiles a malware version and you mistakenly download it.

If you find any bugs, I’d appreciate it if you log it as an issue on the github page.
