It would remove all the greens flooding the trading post. Everything being worthless does not make a good economy. Anet knows this, that’s why they made mystic chests.

Increase the likelihood of getting rarer items from throwing 4 armor/weapons in. It would help the game’s economy. Currently greens are worthless, you may as well vendor them. If people thought they stood a good chance of making a profit off of them they would buy them in mass and clean up the TP and raise their prices slightly.

Seems like they act as a gold sink and a way to build legendaries, and really nothing else. You can’t make any kind of profit off of them. Here are some suggestions that could make them better.

1. Make the top-end stuff soulbound so you have to take up that profession to obtain it for yourself.

2. Add special benefits for using a profession. For example, something like an extra ring slot for 400 jewelers.

3. Remove the TP fees for items posted that you crafted yourself.

4. The ability to craft special salvage kits which allow you get 100% of resources back on items crafted by the profession. For example, an Artificer’s Salvage Kit that can be used on a staff and be guaranteed to get back the Staff Shaft, Staff Head, and Inscription.

Scheduled Reset Times

It could be like the opening week where you did a new build every night at midnight, except you wouldn’t have to actually patch anything. It would just reset things. The purpose being to fix bugged events. However, this wouldn’t be necessary if the game had WoW-style GMs who could respond to tickets and reset events themselves.

EDIT: To keep this from messing up people’s dungeon runs, you could make it affect just the open world and not those in instances.

But a scheduled reset would also have other uses. It could randomize the resource nodes. It’s so tedious right now. You find out where the orichalcum is, and then go there every 6 hours and know it won’t be anywhere else for about a week. Also it would help slightly with the horribly inconvenient respawn timers on rich nodes. Its bad to mine one at 11pm and know you will have to log in late again next time, or skip it for a day.

Help I'm very poor and not good at earning gold

What is a dependable way for a level 80 to make gold? Not looking for a get rich scheme, just something I can mindlessly plow through with music on. I need a totally new set of armor and weapons and I’m very broke. I have tried all the following methods of getting gold and found then ineffective for the explained reasons.

1. Buying greens and mystic forging them to yellows for salvage: Odds of getting a yellow is not high enough to cover the costs.

2. Buying major runes and mystic forging them to superiors: Actually works well, but most of the runes are soulbound dungeon ones which cannot be sold.

3. Running high level 80 events with magic find gear: Can’t dependably locate them when they’re going on. Also Grenth and Balthazar are both bugged right now on my server. Dragon events always give me blues, even with over 60% magic find.

4. Crafting things with my 400 jewelcrafting: Impossible to do anything but break even… if you’re lucky.

5. Running dungeons: Work well, but I don’t feel the payout is worth the time you spend. Also you can’t farm them quickly now.

6. Hunting for resource nodes: All have cooldowns.

7. Word completion: Already completed all the 60+ zones.

What are the most useful builds/stats for EM Dungeons

I keep hearing people say, “dungeons suck if everyone goes pure dps, they need to build more balanced” but I have no idea what that actually means.

What are warriors typically using in dungeons to increase their effectiveness and not die so much? I know the generic answer is “there is no set builds in this game, you can use whatever you want”… but there must be some popular cookie cutter dungeon build that seems to work well. What stats seem the most useful on armor? What weapons work well? (I usually use hammer and rifle)

Although I’m sure it would be staggering to implement, I wish Anet would put some automatic looking for group system up for dungeons. It seems that everyone wants to do CoF and Arah and nobody wants to do things like SE or TA. Those both have cool armor skins that I will probably never get to see since it takes so many tokens and it’s so hard to find groups for them.

So I made a slew of various uncommon mithril rings/amulets/accessories to level up my skill a few more points. Instead of vendoring them I decided I would throw them in the mystic forge and hope to get a rare (or maybe just a more valuable ruby item) out of them. Well… it doesnt let you. You put three in no problem, but it won’t take a fourth item.

Now my curiosity is killing me, what goes in that last spot and what do I get out of it? I have already tried a mystic coin, crystal, philosophers stone, and ecto and none of them worked.

Iron Marches heart quest bugs (hounds)

The heart quest “Help Kennelmaster Warsnout Track the Separatists” is very buggy. The dogs just run to random places and bark briefly before running back without actually revealing anything. The only way to finish the quest is to look for the randomly spawning (and rare) suspicious bushes… making it take painfully long to complete.

If I were to start a lottery within a guild that awarded a 90% jackpot to the winner and kept the remaining 10% to fund WvW keep upgrades, would I be breaking any rules of the game?

I wonder if anyone else thinks that there need to be changes? At least temporary ones. I can simplify this into 2 problems and 2 possible solutions.

1. Problem: Because of the short rounds for matchmaking purposes, nobody wants to invest their own coin into defensive fortifications. I feel like this is an important game mechanic being ignored. Anyone who tries to request donations for expensive (and important) upgrades may notice that almost nobody offers to contribute.

Solution: I think upgrades should be free until the matches start becoming two weeks long. At that time more people will be willing to invest in the game. If this causes balance issues, maybe put a timer on the keeps and towers that prevents you from buying upgrades until you have controlled it for a certain length of time.

2. Problem: It’s impossible to keep people from taking supplies out of the keeps when it’s being upgraded. Many people just don’t even read the chat log to see everyone yelling at them to stop.

Solution: You could do away with worker system and let players players have that job. Players could personally contribute the supplies they are holding directly to the upgrade.

Does anyone else agree with me?
