Have you tried completely uninstalling then reinstalling GW2?

Are you using WINE? If so, you’ll need to patch WINE specifically. Check the wine app db page for details. It’s not hard.

That having been said, I find it can take awhile to load for me when everyone and their cousin is on at the same time.

That having been said I’m hopeful with Humble Bundle releasing Linux native binaries and Steam taking off that we’ll see a lot more game companies give it a try.

Have you gotten screenshots working? Apparently there’s a bugfix for WINE around there somewhere, since it’s a regression thing.

Don’t laugh. The baking thing works. You need to clean off every last bit of heatsink compound and make sure there’s no plastic bits on before you bake it, though. It’ll generally make the card last long enough for a new one to come. If it’s the VRAM going, though, nothing short of divine intervention will fix that.

With current versions of WINE (i.e. 1.5.14), you won’t need the raw3 patch. BUt if you want to use the trading post, you need the awesomium patch. There are detailed instructions on patching WINE in the app db for GW2. Also, you’ll get better performance (in some cases) using 32-bit WINE instead of 64. (In my experience, I’ve discovered I get way better performance. Your mileage may vary.)
