I found the other proposed fix worked – let the Risen destroy the artillery units at the front gates, then everything continues as it should… Of course, by then all the NPCs helping you are dead

Same/similar issue here… Works fine up until the “Defend the Gates” bit – some undead spawn, they get killed and then it all just stops – the NPCs stand around, nothing new spawns and no one will give me any meaningful dialogue.

Tried twice so far, played solo, Lvl 73 Necromancer.
