EB anyway is a free for all it never really comes into any strategic relevance it’s the place many are attracted to like moths to a flame because everywhere else is a ghost town theres that many pugs and randoms floating about it’s hard for commanders outside of prime time to rein in everything that goes on, people do what they want lol

You can see how outstretched Desolation was tonight when Piken can push Abbadon map unopposed by us and control bay hills and Garrison on their own map whilst we struggle to hold you and Abaddon from our home map you where ticking well above us around 10pm GMT+1 and when you guys pulled back to EB etc Abbadon came in full guns blazing melting doors.

Despite what many think Desolation is thin on the ground when spread out and we have adapted to pulling forces out of maps we cannot compete in to reinforce ones we can.

Not only Eb. Always 3th site are going to earn free pointsd. It’s very good tactic and fun

Desolation and Abbadon have been double teaming Piken on EB since 10am this morning (6 hours). Not once have they engaged with each other nice one. When I whispered to ask the Deso commander why he was avoiding AM he said they’d been told not to engage…

That’s nonsense there is no higher power on desolation that tells a commander how to lead they lead the way they want to, and tbh even if a commander avoids engaging there will be a strategic reason behind it Deso isn’t strong daytime and to be quite frank Piken is stronger at these times and have border hopping forces if Abbadon is keeping piken occupied why should we intervene and relieve pressure on them? it’s not like they would be grateful and return the favour its war for kitten sake virtual as it may be.

I actually checked around these times you speak of and Piken was all over our home map like a rash so quite possibly Piken were being double focused in order to draw their border map Karma trains in to defend EB. Take your eyes off Piken and they will have a train doing laps of your home map in no time, keep your eyes on the maps and see for yourself don’t focus your drama so much on what’s going on in EB.

As for people complaining about people running heavy gaurdians, that really makes me laugh, every good wvw guild runs them and you think that it takes no skill? Why because the auto attack on staff is an aoe? Melee is what does the most damage and thats how you win fights, its plain and simple.

We can always fight against 20 guardians or melee

It’s very big difference . We can lost but we are not going to be like Blobadon , Visunah or Rivercart Fun is more important for peoples here . Piken is not going to change his tactics or guilds

Finally we may drop some more ranks in the next weeks and will probably be matched against servers which we are more likely to be a competitive enemy for. Currently we neither offer great zerg vs zerg (looking at Deso zergs) nor a decent amount of guild groups of 20 or more (looking at PS guild groups like GH or FG). Last match against guilds and small groups of Gandara were, what I think would be best for us right now (though I really wonder where all the players, who caused queues last week, are right now)

And no don’t bring up that lame skill lag argument that is a problem with the servers not zergs. Zerging is a big part of WvW for a reason, it’s all about servers with large playerbases fighting eachother. Servers can decide to put everyone on the map on one commander which is fine. There is lots of counterplay here. For instance you can split your force so that the enemy zerg can only engage one group at a time allowing one force to die while the other is busy taking something.

Zerging is not a problem however one thing is. It’s the fact that the most useful strategy is to simply ball up and run at the enemy. Forming convex/concave or other shapes is not only harder but less effective. THAT is the problem in WvW.

Zerging is not a problem for people who only care about meaningless server points. It actually is for people who seek good challenging fights instead of spamming #1 with 80 ppl.

Hey all,

I’m looking for a new server for myself and guildmates. We’re a WvW focused guild and looking for a server with a good wvw presence and has oceanic/asian timezone coverage(Tired of losing everything overnight).

We play during NA primetime 4-12pm central, So we’d like to find a home in which we’d help make a difference and not just add to a zergfest. Currently during our wvw nights we bring 30+ members and on our off days we’re usually 15+

Reasons for us wanting to leave current server.
- Server is full of 1-4man PVE guilds who make up a completely unorganized zerg.(We’re one of maybe 2 guilds who are WvW focused who bring 30+)
- Server has a very negative attitude which believes you can’t win unless you outnumber the enemy. (Our guild thrives on fighting superior numbers)
- Current group of commanders in wvw are karma farmers who don’t care about wvw score(It’s a PVE server), So they happily trade T3 assets for paper assets.
